LED Sources and Drivers
Thorlabs offers a wide range of unmounted, mounted, and collimated LED
sources that provide emission within the 245 nm to 4600 nm spectral range.
These semiconductor light sources are available in many output powers and
configurations, making them useful in applications including illumination,
microscopy, optogenetics, spectroscopy, and industrial curing.
A selection of benchtop current controllers is available to drive our mounted and
unmounted LEDs. These drivers feature internal or external modulation (via TTL
input) of the LED source's pulse width and frequency. Thorlabs' 4-Channel Drivers
allow for the control of multiple LEDs or our 4-Channel LED Source. Our LED sources can be easily integrated into any experimental setup. Mounted
and Collimated LEDs are threaded for compatibility with lens tubes. Adapters for
microscope illumination ports and liquid light guides enable these LEDs to be used
with most microscope systems.

The Solis™ LEDs deliver several watts of total output
power from a lightweight, vibration-free package.
They provide high-power illumination that can be
coupled directly to the epi-illumination path of a
microscope. Light from the LED is collimated through a
large Ø48.3 mm aperture that can be attached via an
adapter to the epi-illumination paths of many industrystandard microscopes from Olympus, Nikon, Leica, and
Zeiss, as well as the epi-illuminators with turrets that are
available on many of Thorlabs' Cerna Microscopes.
