PlainsCapital Bank in Fort Worth Makes Financial
Donation for H.O.P.E. Farm's Annual Mother's Day Dinner
Volunteers serve food at the H.O.P.E. Farm Mother’s
Day Dinner on May 9
Fort Worth, TX (May 10, 2013) —
H.O.P.E.
Farm,
a
nonprofit
organization for at-risk boys in Fort
Worth, hosted their annual Mother’s
Day dinner at a volunteer’s private
residence on May 9. More than 55
mothers and grandmothers attended
the event which has become an
annual tradition to honor the women
who serve as positive, inspirational
role models for the boys of H.O.P.E.
Farm.
PlainsCapital
Bank’s
generous donation helped cover
expenses
including
flowers,
decorations, party favors, table
rentals and an on-site personal chef
who prepared the night’s delicious meal.
H.O.P.E. Farm specifically targets at-risk boys from single-parent homes who lack a positive male influence
in their lives. The youth enter the program between the ages of 5 and 7 and the program is designed to
nurture them through high school. Understanding the importance of parent involvement, H.O.P.E. Farm
works directly with each boy’s mother to create accountability, consistency, spiritual development and
encouragement.
“I feel honored to work for a company that’s committed to giving back to organizations like H.O.P.E.
Farm,” said Kami Bedford, commercial loan officer for PlainsCapital Bank in Fort Worth and volunteer at
the Mother’s Day dinner. “This particular event was extra special because it honors the mothers and
grandmothers who go above and beyond to serve as positive role models for these young boys who lack a
father figure in their lives.”
The Upward Momentum team in Fort Worth including Kami Bedford, Andy Friederichs, Jim Vineyard and
Erin Rowton, has chosen to partner with H.O.P.E. Farm as part of their service project to teach personal
financial literacy to middle school students.
