ADVISORY INFORMATION
This approval relates to the use of ‘Previcur Energy’ (M13342) as a horticultural
fungicide for the control of Pythium and downy mildew in protected witloof chicory for
head production. Product to be applied as a spray to the root collar or as an addition
to the circulating nutrient solution.
When spraying the root collars, apply at a rate of 20ml product per m2. Ensure that
the full amount of Previcur Energy spray liquid is applied, giving a single application
to the root collars of 5 to 10 litres of spray liquid per m2 before forcing. Spray the
liquid after placing the roots in the forcing trays. To improve absorption of the
product, leave an interval of 12 to 24 hours between spraying and placing the trays
in water.
When adding the product to the nutrient solution for chicory, incorporate at a rate of
40ml product per 100 litres of solution. A single application in the nutrient solution on
the first day of forcing the roots sholud be made, which will improve absorption of the
product. Take into account the total volume of circulating solution to avoid errors in
dosage.
This approval has been re-issued to amend the expiry date in line with the parent
approval.
