explore the role and importance of plants in our lives. We will look at what plants need
to survive and grow successfully, how plants are connected to our every day lives and
what our responsibility is towards plants.
Through reflection, the children can explore how their actions affect plants and what
the repercussions are to them, the local community and the world as a whole.
This unit will provide the children with the opportunity to display empathy towards other
people, animals the environment. Furthermore, they will hopefully become committed
to take action to change behaviours that may be detrimental towards plants and the
environment.
