Hi Elan, Thank you for the follow-up and my apologies for the delay! The prices for Analyzer and Recorder are as follows: 1 x Brain Vision Recorder 1st license acquisition software $6,950 0 x Brain Vision Recorder additional license $4,950 1 x Brain Vision Analyzer 2 1st license analyses software $11,950 0 x Brain Vision Analyzer 2 additional license analyses software $5,925 Also, all updates and the entire support or included and not time limited or limited to a certain number of support calls or emails, so there is no cost of ownership once you purchased it. Once you have it, its yours... In any case, in case you need to make a choice the Analyzer 2 software will provide you with more of a pay-off since it will speed up your analysis quite a bit. Please let me know if you have any other questions and if the above fits into the budget goal you have. Thank you in advance and all the best, Florian On 11/19/2013 10:46 AM, Elan Barenholtz wrote: Florian, Thanks for the info. I would be curious to get pricing info on the Recorder and Analyzer 2 software. We may have a little wiggle room in the budget. Regarding the software, PyCorder is the designated program to run recordings with actiCHamp - it is open source and comes at no additional charge. You also have the choice to use our commercially available BrainVision Recorder software which runs all of our amplifiers and also a very nice choice - it is more streamlined and the underlying code is much faster than Python, so you can sample at higher frequencies with the amplifier (don't think that is needed in your case). However, BrainVision Analyzer 2 is not the recording software but a full analysis tool. Analyzer 2 recognizes files from different EEG manufacturers automatically and guarantees compatibility and exchangeability with research labs all over the world. The editable "History Tree" lets you organize, explore and trace evaluation steps. All the analyses done and parameters used are stored in an easily accessible fashion. Automated analysis with drag & drop functions speed up recurring tasks. Analyzer 2 includes all necessary pre-processing functions, enhanced timefrequency analysis options, FFT, Wavelets, various phase measures (ITC, phase synchrony), PCA, ICA, ocular correction ICA, LORETA and MRI correction as well as a direct interface to MATLAB and EEGLab. New views create unlimited output possibilities to publish your results. Programming interfaces in .NET languages can be used to expand functionality. The software is a very popular analysis tool even in labs that also use eeglab since Analyzer is about 8 times faster and much more structured and easier to use. For re-occurring processing steps, you would use Analyzer and only for things that are not implemented would you leave Analyzer and process the data in MATLAB. In any case, please let me know if you would like me to get into additional details or if I can be of any other assistance. Thank you already! We can probably assume that training won't be necessary though we may have the budget for it if we deem it very helpful. I have an additional question: Greg Appelbaum, a researcher and user of your systems who originally sent me your way, mentioned that he used your Analyzer software to do his recording rather than Pycorder. Can you please clarify what Pycorder can and can't do and whether additional software, such as Analyzer is necessary or strongly recommended for use with the actiChamp? We were originally thinking that we might just use EEGlab, the free Matlab toolbox, to do visualizations and analyses and that Pycroder was sufficient to do the acquisition. Can you speak to this issue? Thank you, -Elan On Nov 15, 2013, at 8:40 AM, Florian Strelzyk wrote: Hi Elan, Just now noticed your message to Tamara... Yes, there is warranty included with the products. There is a three year warranty on all hardware and two years on all other equipment other than consumables (please see addendum). Tamara, in CC, will send you an updated quote with training included. However, I would suggest to first schedule a Skype demonstration to see if a training visit would actually be necessary. A full day of training is usually priced at $1,590 and even if we only need a half day, there are travel costs that would need to be covered ($600-$700). If there isn't a reason for that, I would not like to have you factor in that expense. If you have the choice, I would suggest to wait with scheduling an in-person training until after our Skype training. That should only take an hour or two since the system setup is quite straight forward. Just let us know what you prefer. Thank you in advance and I am looking forward to working with you! Also, if you can send a quote for training that would be appreciated as well. Best, -Elan On Nov 13, 2013, at 2:01 AM, Tamara Spence wrote: Hi Elan, Florian asked me to follow-up with you. Please find the attached quote for a 64channel actiCHamp system, extension cable, and corresponding adapter, and let me know if anything needs to be added or changed. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if I can be of any further assistance. Thank you very much. If you could get us this quote as soon as possible that would be very helpful as we need to make a decision very soon. -Elan On Nov 8, 2013, at 7:01 AM, Florian Strelzyk wrote: Hi Elan, Thank you for your follow-up and the is a very good choice. In order to enable you to extend the length of the actiCAP electrode cables a bit, I will also quote a one meter extension which is not priced too much. I would be able to provide a 3% discount on a pre-payment. Would that be something you are interested in. If so, I would send you additional information and will send you the quote based on that. Thank you in advance and please let me know. Best, Florian On 11/6/2013 12:40 PM, Elan Barenholtz wrote: Hi Florian, Thank you for the (abundant) information! It sounds like we would likely go with the actiCHamp system alone, without the MOVE extension. Can you please send me a quote for the standard (i.e. non-TMS) configured system? But I would like to learn more about your work and research paradigm to double check on what you need. What type of experiments are you running, and with what type of participants? Will you be combining the EEG with any other measurement such as TMS, tDCS, eye-tracking, fMRI, MEG, fNIRS, etc., or during special conditions such as sleep or walking? I will be at ITSEC in Florida later in December (2nd to 5th), but that may be too late. What is your timeline the system? Will you be at any conferences before that - maybe we can meet on during one of such occasions. Depending on your budget, there is room to move a bit. What is your budget goal on the entire system? If it is below what I can do I would need to talk to Brain Products but in any case, there are a number of options. Just let me know and we will go from there. I am looking forward to learning more about your research and will assemble the right system quote for you based on that. Dr. Greg Appelbaum at Duke highly recommended we should look into your actichamp system. I found your literature online and it looks like a great system. I have a couple of questions: 1) Is there any possibility of having a rep provide a demo? We are in Boca Raton FL. 2) We are working within a pretty tight budget. Is there any chance of a discount on the listed US price of $37,500?
