PURPOSE OF ROLE
To complete accurate data entry of prescriptions and MAR charts
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
PERFORMANCE MEASURES

Update patient records and comply with patient confidentiality and
information governance requirements

Complete interim prescription, monthly prescription and MAR chart data
entry

Ensure that all medicine data is input into systems accurately and is in
line with appropriate medicines, systems and SOP protocols.

Completes data entry effectively and efficiently


Ensures work allocated within the Zone is completed promptly to meet
system cut-off timescales


Undertake other centralised activities as delegated by the manager

Provide excellent levels of customer service and team work

Comply with patient confidentiality and Information Governance
requirements

Starts to support with some data entry validation

Undertake Services Assistant (Level 1) and Dispensary Assistant (Level
1) tasks when required

systems in a timely and accurate
manner and meet daily cut-off
timescales.
Compliance to SOPs.
Customer satisfaction is
demonstrated through the
measurement of queries and
complaint turnaround timescales.
Attends operational meetings
where applicable.
Ensures that knowledge is shared
and tasks are undertaken
efficiently across the Managed
Care Data Entry team
Able to plan work on a day by day basis
Needs to react appropriately to meet customer needs to ensure smooth running
of data input
Will need to deal with challenging problems and situations in calm and
controlled manner
Must comply with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements
