Open invitational with no qualifying / de-qualifying times

Meet Rules:
1. All SWIM BC and Swimming Canada rules will be in effect
2. All swimmers must be registered properly with Swimming Canada/Swim BC, or
other FINA-affiliated organization
3. Swimming Canada warm-up procedures will be in effect and will be monitored
by safety marshals. Warm up lanes will be posted and announced.
4. The current Swimming Canada Swimsuit Policy will be observed at this
competition.
5. All individual events will be seeded and swum slowest to fastest.
6. All events will be swum as timed finals.
7. EVDSC reserves the right to limit the 400 free event, or swim the event two to a
lane.
8. NTs will not be accepted. Entry times are required for all entries to facilitate
timing of the meet by the meet manager. .
9. All entry times are to be entered short course.
10. Relay age groups will be as listed in the meet package, 10 and under, 11-12, 1314, and 15 and older
11. The meet will be limited to the first 300 swimmers; the team entering the 300th
swimmer will be accepted.

12. Swimmers are limited to a maximum of 6 individual swims and 2 relay events.
13. Deck entries will be permitted as long as they do not result in a new heat.
If yes: Deck entries for swimmers not already in the meet must be
accompanied by proof of current registration, including name spelling as it
appears in SNC registration system, date of birth, and SNC registration number.
14. Relay names are due a minimum of 60 minutes prior to the start of the session.
No exceptions. Clubs are strongly encouraged to submit relay names with
entries.
15. Clubs are responsible for their seating area within the pool facility. Any act of
theft or vandalism will result in immediate disqualification.
16. Coaches are asked to check in with the Meet Manager upon arrival at the meet
in order to pick up coaches packages and pay any outstanding meet fees.
17. Visiting clubs are encouraged to provide volunteer officials. Please direct all

Scratches:
To avoid being charged the meet entry fee, scratches must be received prior to 8:00
am on Monday, April 17th 2017.
If any additional scratches post the deadline, please email them to
[email protected], however after the scratch deadline, there will be no refunds.
During the meet, scratches must be given to the Clerk of Course 30 minutes prior to
the start of the session.
Awards:
For individual events, ribbons will be awarded for top 6 places.
For relay events, ribbons will be awarded for the top 3 places.
Entry Fees:
Individual Entry Fees: $7.00
Relay Entry Fees: $9.00
Deck Entry Fees: $15.00
$4.00 Swim BC Provincial Team Splash fee per swimmer
Please make all cheques available to the Elk Valley Dolphin Swim Club (EVDSC).
Payment must be submitted prior to the start of the meet.
Entry Deadline:
Deadline for upload of entries to the Swimming Canada website is April 10th 2017.
Results:
Will be posted to the Swim Canada site following the competition.
