Physical Activities
Basketball
We had the kids play against each other
as well as kids versus adults, passing,
shooting, dribbling and other
fundamentals of basketball.
 Relay races
They did regular down and back sprinting
relays and other running games

Physical Activities Cont’d

KRUMP dancing
is a hard-hitting,
very expressive
dance style that
allows the boys to
experience an
active alternative
art form
Dance
The boys enjoyed participating in the
dance sessions, whether they tried
KRUMP or had their own style
 They performed for open houses and
other school meetings
 We had opportunities to share with the
parents our belief that art forms are great
alternative activities

Example of Basketball Drill

Basket Brigade Trust Game
Start off with two teams lined up on each side
of the basketball court
 Spaced out even distances to pass the ball
from one end to another
 The last person in line shoots a free throw
shot

drills and relay races to build up their
