Kraft Liner
NCR offers unbleached natural kraft liners designed to
provide a greener alternative while ensuring high
performance labels.
• NCR has a wide array of products and a history of
innovation that enables our account managers and
application engineers to conduct site visits and work
with you to determine the appropriate solution for
you. We have a varied selection of weights, trim
widths, recycled content levels, and specifications to
propose the proper solution for your environment.
• Kraft liners impact your environmental footprint by:
– Reducing waste (19%)
– Reducing water (86%)
– Reducing energy consumption (42%)

– Same performance as standard liner

Making an Environmental Impact:
PET Liner
NCR PET liners are 100% recyclable. They provide the
additional performance benefits of providing greater tear
resistance and their “thinner than paper” composition
allows 30-50% more labels per roll. These environmental
and efficiency benefits make PET liners an ideal
application for many of your thermal label applications.
• While paper liners require a silicone process, PET liners
do not, making them 100% recyclable. By working with
you to understand your process and applications, our
Account managers can assist in pinpointing the
appropriate solution for your operation.
• Why consider PET liners:
– 100% recyclable
– Thinner liner allows
– 30-50% more labels per roll creates greater
efficiency and less change overs
– Reduced freight, storage and shipping frequency
equates to reduced cost per label
• Performance:
– Unlike paper based liners, PET liners do not produce
airborne particles which require greater printer
maintenance
– Higher tear resistance than paper equates to less jams

Liner-free Labels
NCR liner-free labels are liner free and waste free. They
do not require a release liner and are available with a
variety of adhesives to fit your exact application needs.
• A liner-free label is a continuous label roll that does
not require a liner. Silicone is applied to the top of
these labels so the labels will unroll easily without
leaving glue residue on the front of the label. A
perforation can be added to separate each label to
give you improved functionality.

– No liner
– Total reduction of waste
– No liner = more labels per roll
– More labels per roll creates greater efficiency and
less change overs
– Reduced freight, storage and shipping frequency
equates to reduced cost per label

Kraft Labels
NCR natural kraft labels are a great environmental
alternative to traditional white labels which require high
levels of chemical bleaching. These kraft labels work in
multiple applications including laser and ink jet printers
to offer a seamless printing and application experience
with significant environmental advantages.
• While preferred for their reduced environmental
impact, there is also an aesthetic appeal to these
labels that many customers prefer. The color blends
with cardboard creating a seamless appearance
allowing for maximum reuse of boxes.

–Made of 100% recycled material
–Chlorine free process reduces harmful substances
associated with the manufacturing process
–Color blends with cardboard to cover up
blemishes to optimize the reuse of boxes.
