total submission to around 1000 words. You may also submit a reasonable amount of additional
material that you feel would support your entry such as images, case studies or press cuttings

Timelines
 Deadline for application is 2 September 2016
 Judging will take place the week commencing 12 September 2016
 Shortlist announcement week commencing 3 October 2016
Each shortlisted applicant will be provided with one free place to attend the Awards Ceremony
with opportunities to purchase extra tickets. The Winners will be announced at the Awards
Ceremony on the afternoon of Thursday 3 November at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square.

Criteria
This award is open to plant operators and manufacturers of vehicles, equipment or plant. The
application must clearly highlight the innovative aspects of the design and the benefits that
these are expected to deliver.
The application must:

Evidence of fitness for purpose

How has the entry made the best use of innovative technology?

How has the entry demonstrated sustainability in the use of materials involved in
manufacture?

With regard to whole life sustainability what provision has been made for end of life
recovery?
