COMETS BASKETBALL CLUB COST SHEET
This cost sheet is for the AAU boy’s basketball team. Fees are subject to change per year.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP FEE INCLUDES:
• AAU League Membership & Insurance
• AAU Tournament Fee
• Uniform Cost
• Gym Rental Fee
• Miscellaneous Cost
COST BREAKDOWN
1. Gym Rental: $50 per 2 hours x 8 practices a month (2 a week): $400
$400x 5 month season = $2,000 | $2000/12 team members= $167 per
athlete
2. Uniform Cost: Game Uniform ($80) | Practice Uniform ($50) | Socks ($5) |
Shoes ($50)= $185 per athlete
3. Minimum Tournament Entry Fees: $200 (1 tourney entrance fee) x 5
months = $1000 | $1000/12 team members = $83 per athlete
4. AAU League Membership & Insurance: $16 per athlete
5. Miscellaneous: Stipends, Travel, Events, Supplies, Contractual Services and
the Reconditioning and Replacement of Equipment= $5 per athlete
Total Club Fee: $450 per athlete
PAYMENT DUE DATES
• January 1st: Signing Day- Initial Club Fee
o Monthly Payment Plans Begin- 1st of every month
§ Plans can be pro-rated for amount owed
• February 1st: ½ of Club Fees Due ($225 Upfront)
• March 1st: Remaining Balance Paid
o Registration is closed on March 2nd.
NO ATHLETE WILL BE PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE IF PAYMENT IS
NOT ON FILE WITH THE ATHLETIC OFFICE PRIOR TO ANY ACTIVITIES
WITH AUSTIN COMETS ATHLETICS.
Charitable subsidizing, discounts (Early Bird, Sibling, Returning Players) and
monthly payment plans are available. For payments we accept cash, check, or
credit card. All payments are non-refundable. Checks are to be made payable to
THE METRO MENTORSHIP INITIATIVE.
