RANKING OF INTERVIEWS
Once the interview process is finished your interview scores and rank will be released through your Pathway
account.
Release date is yet to be confirmed and scores will be available to view through candidate’s Pathway account before
the offers deadline.
Offers will be made according to rank then preference.
The highest ranked candidate is allocated an offer based on their preference, followed by the second ranked
candidate and so on until all posts are allocated.
A candidate’s rank is created in the first instance from overall score at interview. The overall score includes scores
from the 3 interview stations – Management, Portfolio and Clinical.
In the event that there is a tie in the rankings produced from overall interview scores, the Pathway system will
review the score from each station in the following weighting or order:
1. Clinical
2. Portfolio
3. Management
The candidate with the higher score at the Clinical station will be ranked highest. If there is still a tie in rankings after
the Clinical station score has been reviewed, the Portfolio station is used as a differentiator and the candidate with
the highest score on the Portfolio station will be ranked higher.
Should there still be a tied rank after the Portfolio station has been reviewed, a candidate’s score at the Management
station will then be used, with the highest scorer at this station being allocated the higher rank.
If once the interview scores have been exhausted, there are still a tied score between 2 or more candidates, the selfassessment questions from the application form are used in the same manner as above to differentiate between
candidates.
The scores from these questions will be used with the following order of ranking:
1.
2.
3.
Clinical Audit
Presentations and Publications
Teaching Experience
Please note that for each UoA interview score and rank is separate and only in clearing is the highest score from the
2 interviews is used to generate your candidate ranking.
An update to rotation details for West Scotland sub-preferences has been released on13 February 2012. Those
applying may want to consider amending the ranking of sub-preference choices.

OFFERS RELEASE DATE
The first wave of offers will be sent out in the week commencing 20 February 2012. Candidates should not contact
the CSNRO about offers prior to this date. This date is subject to change.
All offers will be sent out centrally by the CSNRO through Pathway, regardless of which UoA a candidate is being
offered a training rotation in. Any offers received in any other way will be deemed invalid.
Candidates will receive up to two offers if they rank highly enough in each of their top two preferenced UoAs.
Offer upgrades will also be available to candidates in the CSNRO 2012 recruitment. If a candidate is offered a post
and subsequently accepts it, they are entitled to an upgrade if they have opted in and if it becomes available.
ACCEPTING, REJECTING AND HOLDING
With effect from 2012 a 48 hour limit on offers, including weekends and Bank Holidays, will be initiated. Candidates
will be given 48 hours to respond to an offer and have the option to accept or hold (with or without upgrades), or
reject the offer. Once the 48 hour response window has lapsed, any declined posts will be reoffered to other
candidates.
Note: 48 hours is including Bank Holidays and weekends.
Only one offer can be held at any one time. Those candidates that fail to respond within the 48 hour time frame will
be deemed to have declined the offer. National holding deadline is 19 March 2012.
If you ranked 1st you will be offered your first sub-preference followed by the person who ranked second being
offered their first sub-preference, unless it had already been offered to you in which instance they would get their
second preference and so on. If you are listed as 'successful interview' you have scored high enough to be eligible for
a post but you did not rank high enough to receive an offer in the first iteration.
Should a higher ranked sub-preference become available in a UoA where your offer is held or accepted, you will be
automatically upgraded to this offer. Upgrades are only available if you have selected this option when
holding or accepting an offer. If you decline an offer from a UoA you will receive no further offers from that UoA.
Once a candidate accepts a post, they will not receive any further offers within that UoA, unless they are upgraded
and must withdraw from all other applications that are being managed outside of this.
NATIONAL CLEARING
If there are any posts remaining at the end of the upgrading process, there will be a National Clearing process to fill
the remaining vacancies. Appointable candidates will be able to re-preference any remaining sub-preferences over a 5
day period and your highest interview score will be used to generate your candidate rank.
Candidates will only receive ONE offer in clearing, they will have a 48 hour period to accept or reject. There will be
no holding facility during the clearing process.
