INTRODUCTION
WANetballLeagueclubswillbegiventheopportunityduringthe2017
WANetballLeagueseasontohosthomegames.WANetballLeague
homegameswillbeconductedinaccordancewiththeWANetball
LeagueCompetitionRegulations.
NETBALLWARESPONSIBILITIES
NetballWAisresponsiblefortheoveralleventmanagementofWA
NetballLeaguetoensuretherulesandintegrityofthecompetitionare
maintainedatalltimes.
NetballWAwillberesponsibleforthefollowingforWANetballLeague
homegame:
• DeterminationofallrulesandregulationspertainingtotheWA
NetballLeague.
• Hiringofcourtsandchangeroomsforhomegames.
• SponsorshipsignageincludingbannersandA-framesforthefield
ofplay.
• Supplyofeventrunsheettemplate.
• Eventequipmentincluding:
o Competitionmatchballs
o Umpirealerts
o Competitionforms/scoresheets
o Goalpostpadding
NetballWAwillberesponsiblefortheappointmentofthefollowing
personnelfortheWANetballLeaguehomegame:
• NetballWArepresentative.
• Umpirecoaches.
• Umpiresforallmatches.

• BenchOfficialsforallmatches.
TheNetballWArepresentativeactingasthecourtsupervisorwill
attendthehomegameandwill;
• Supplytheofficialmatchballs.
• Supplythesignageandassistwithsetuparoundthecourt.
• Supplytheumpirealertsystem.
• Ensureallteamsignageisadequatelypositioned.
• Ensuretheteamlistsarefilledoutbyallteamsatleast15
minutespriortothestartofthegame.
• Ensureteamsandumpiresarereadytotakethecourtontime.
• CollecttheJillMcIntoshMedal,ReservesBest&Fairestand18U
Best&Fairestvotes,completedscoresheets,matchballs,umpire
alertsystemandsignageandreturntoNetballWA.
WANETBALLLEAGUECLUBRESPONSIBILITIES
NetballWAwillconsultwiththeWANetballLeagueclubinrelationto
theorganisationoftheWANetballLeaguehomegameandwill
consideringoodfaithallsuggestionsorcommentsforwardedto
NetballWAbythehostclub.
Thehostclubwillco-operatewithNetballWAthroughoutthe
preparation,conductandstagingoftheWANetballLeaguehomegame
toensurethesuccessoftheevent.
Eachhomeclubwillberesponsibleforthefollowing:
• Providingacashierandfloatforthedoor.
• Hiringofanypartofthevenuerequired(withtheexceptionof
courtsandchangerooms).
• Appointmentofamatchcoordinator.

• Ensurecourtsetupasperrequirements(includesteambenches,
scorebench,signage,ice/water,wheelchair&spinalboard).
• Providefoodforumpiresandbenchofficials.
• Supplyiceforinjuriesandwaterforteams.
• Runsheettemplateprovidedandcompleted,andreturnedto
NetballWA.
ItistheresponsibilityofthehomeclubtoappointaMatchCoordinator
whowillberesponsibleformatchpresentation,volunteerandany
liaisonrequirementswiththevisitingteam.
ItistheresponsibilityoftheMatchCoordinatorto:
• ProvideinformationtotheNetballWAGameDevelopment
Coordinator–Competitionspertainingtoanygameday
formalitiesorhospitalitytheWANetballLeagueclubwishto
conductduringtheirhomegame.Tobecompletednolaterthan7
workingdayspriortotheevent.
• Provideclubmatchdaystaff/volunteersnames,contactnumbers
androlestotheNetballWAGameDevelopmentCoordinator–
Competitionsforadditiontotheofficialeventrunsheet.Tobe
completed7daysbeforetheevent.
• ProvideclubrelatedMCsponsormessagestotheNetballWA
GameDevelopmentCoordinator–Competitionsforadditionto
theofficialMCscript.TobereceivedatNetballWAnolaterthan
7workingdayspriortheevent.
• EnsureMCannouncesteamsontocourtandteamsarereadyto
playatcorrecttime.
• Ensureallclubmatchdaystaff/volunteersperformtheirrole
correctlyatalltimes.

APPOINTMENTOFAMASTEROFCEREMONIES
TheMasterofCeremonies(MC)istoannounceplayers,teamofficials
andumpiresontothecourtpriortothecommencementofthegame.
TheMCistoacknowledgethefollowingatappropriatetimes
throughoutthehomegame(asdetailedontheeventrunsheet):
• Namingrightssponsor.
• TheInsuranceCommissionofWA(BeltUp).
• AnyotherkeymessagesasrequiredbyNetballWA.
Clubsponsoracknowledgements–usethefullsponsorshipnameof
homeandvisitingteamsduringallintroductions,promotionsor
announcements.ClubsponsormessagesaretobesenttotheNetball
WAGameDevelopmentCoordinator–Competitions,nolaterthan7
workingdayspriortotheevent.
PROMOTION
NetballWAencouragesclubstopromotetheirhomegamesusing
variousmediums.Allpromotionsofhomegamesaretobeapprovedby
NetballWAbeforebeingpublished.
PRODUCTIONOFMATCHDAYPROGRAM
Shouldclubswishtoproduceamatchdayprogram,itistheclub’s
responsibilityto:
• Contactthevisitingteamforteamlistsandanyotherinformation.
• ContactNetballWAfor
o NetballWAlogo.
o WANLlogo.
o SmarterthanSmokinglogo.
o BeltUplogo.

CASHIER
Itistheclub’sresponsibilitytoprovideacashierfordoorentrytohome
games.TheNetballWArepresentativewillprovideanattendancesheet
tobefilledoutbythecashierandreturnedtotheNetballWA
representativeatthecompletionofthehomegame.Thecashieristo
remainopenuntilhalftimeofthefinalmatchoftheday.Thehome
clubshallkeepallmoneyfromdoorentry,howeveranymoneyfrom
thesaleofWANetballLeagueseasonpassesistobehandedoverto
theNetballWArepresentative.WANetballLeagueSeasonPassforms
willbeprovidedbytheNetballWArepresentative.
TICKETPRICES
AllticketpricesaresetbyNetballWA.
2017Ticketingpricesareasfollows:
• Adults-$9.
• Concession-$6.
• Children(17&Under)–Free.
• 2017WANetballLeagueSeasonPass-Freeentryupondisplayof
card.
• 2017WestCoastFeverMembershipPass–Freeentryupon

MATCHDAYFUNCTION
Itisthehomeclub’sresponsibilityfororganisinganyhomegame
function.Thehomeclubisresponsibleforthehiringandpaymentof
anyrooms,catering,staffrequiredforsuchafunction.

Itisthehomeclub’sresponsibilitytoapproachthevenueregardingthe
opportunitytorunthekioskfacilities.
SALEOFALCOHOL
Itisuptothehomeclubtodecideiftheywishtosellalcoholathome
games.Itisthehomeclub’sresponsibilityto:
• Consultwiththehomegamevenueregardingthesaleofalcohol.
• Abidebyallhealth&safetyrequirements(includingstaffwith
RSA).
• Foranyinformationregardingthesaleofalcoholathomegames,
pleasecontactMarkWatton,NetballWAMemberServices

SPORTPRESENTATION
Thesportpresentationprogramshouldaimtocreateanenvironment
forNetballwhichenhancestheeventforspectators,officialsand
athletesbyshowcasingitatitsoptimumlevel.Whileensuringthatan
environmentsuitableforoptimalperformancebyathletesiscreated,
theelementsofthesportpresentationprogrammustalsoadhereto
therules,regulationsrequirementsandprotocolsofthesport.
TheMatchCoordinatororsomeoneappointedtobetheSport
PresentationCoordinatorshallberesponsibleforcueingallofthelive
aspectsthatsurroundthesportonthefieldofplay,including
announcements,musicandteamintroduction.
Nomusic,soundeffectsorvoicecommentarymaybeusedduringplay.
Musicmayonlybeplayedduringbreaksandinjurybreaks.

Ifthehomegameclubwishtousematchintervalsforany
presentations,promotionsorexhibitionsmatches,approvalmustbe
soughtfromNetballWA,whowilladdthedetailstotheofficialevent
runsheet.Tobereceived7dayspriortotheevent.
