Thank you for purchasing this Odessa shower screen. Please study these instructions carefully before assembly and
installation and check all supplied parts immediately upon receipt.
These instructions illustrate an enclosure with the door on the left and a fixed panel on the right. However, all parts are
reversible and the door may optionally be positioned to the right of the fixed panel provided the recessed wall channels
have been installed accordingly.
These instructions also illustrate an enclosure with the door sliding on the inside (shower side) of the fixed panel. This is
the most common configuration.
First Fix Installation
These instructions cover First Fix installation only. Separate instructions are available for the Second Fix installation.
First fix comprises:
- installation of recessed track RS17 to ceiling
- installation of recessed 24mm wall channel to panel side wall
- installation of recessed door closure channel RS1 to door side wall
- installation of 17mm surface channel recessed into floor.
Tolerances on Finished Walls, Floor and Ceiling
The parts supplied for first fix installation are supplied precisely pre-cut to fit the finished wall to wall and finished floor to
ceiling dimensions that you have specified.
Finished floor to finished ceiling dimensions should be within 3-4mm of specified height. Finished wall to wall dimensions
should be within 5-6mm of specified width.
The finished floor and ceiling surfaces should be plumb horizontal. Walls should be plumb vertical. Some lean-in or lean-out
can be accommodated on the panel side wall (up to 5-6mm) but the door side wall has to be very close to vertical to ensure
adequate sealing of the door into the wall channel (2-3mm maximum deviation).
Floor and wall channels should be free of debris or obstructions.
Parts Supplied
The following parts are supplied for First Fix installation. Please check them and contact Majestic in the event of
missing or damaged parts.
1 x RS17 Recessed Track for ceiling, pre-fitted with end plates
1 x 24mm recessed wall channel for panel side wall
1 x RS1 Door Closure channel for door side wall
1 x 17mm surface channel for recessing into floor
1 x Channel Positioning Block

The ceiling should be prepared with a recess to accept
the RS17 aluminium track. The recess should be 89.0
mm wide by 80.0 mm deep and extend the full width of
the alcove from structural wall to structural wall.

Note that the Fixed Panel slot on the track is to face the
outside of the shower.
Immediately above the ceiling recess, there
should be a structural beam adequate to support
the weight of the track, rollerheads and door and
to which the track can be screwed.
The track is supplied with 6 mm diameter
countersunk holes for attachment to the beam at
approximately 300 mm centres on the centreline
shown.

The track is supplied pre-prepared with a small
rebate machined at each end. The distance
between these rebates equals the specified finished
wall to wall dimension.

The 17mm surface channel is to be recessed into the
floor and is supplied at the specified finished wall to
wall dimension + 46mm.

specified wall to wall dimension + 30 mm).

The floor channel will accept the fixed glass panel
and is to be centred directly below the fixed panel
slot of the ceiling track.

The floor channel has an overall width of
13.5 mm and the recess depth is 17 mm.
Apply a thin bead of silicone to both sides of the
recess and fit the aluminium profile.

the ceiling track, forming a continuous slot for
the Fixed Panel.

The Door Closure channel on the door side wall
is offset from the other channels by 20 mm as
shown above.

Although it is to be fitted to a recess that runs from
floor to ceiling, the channel is not to occupy the
bottom 22.5mm of recess (a component is fitted
into this space during second fix installation).
