Horses over 14.2hh. Jumps not exceeding 75cm
Class 1a
Ponies 14.2hh and under. Jumps not exceeding 60cm
Class 2
Any horse/pony any rider. Jumps n/e 45cm. This class is aimed at
very novice combinations not to have won a working hunter class ,
and competitors in this class will not be eligible to enter classes 1 or
1a.
Special prize from the Cambridge University Draghounds for the
Horse/Pony entered in the classes 1 and 1a they’d most like to take
hunting, (but wont)

128cm. Riders not to have attained their 8th birthday before the 1st
January in the current year. To be lead by an attendant and shown in a
snaffle bridle. Lead rein to be attached to the nose band only.

SHOW PONY FIRST RIDDEN
First Ridden Pony, mare or gelding, 4yrs old and over.
(Those wishing to qualify for EQUIFEST must check the Equifest
qualifying criteria and wear a red arm band)

years old & over. Riders any age. The first three places will
also qualify for the BSPA Championship. Subject to their
Show rules & conditions.

Welsh A, B, C and D. Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and
over. Rider any age. This class may be divided as appropriate.

EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND IN HAND
Open to In Hand Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure

Shetland, Welsh A, B, C and D. Stallion, mare, colt, filly or gelding, any age. This class
may be divided as appropriate.

Junior Handler aged 11 years and under and 12 and over – class will be split.

In-hand Championship
1st and 2nd prize winners, classes 15 to 19.
Class 21
Supreme Championship section
a) The 1st and 2nd prize winners from both the in hand and Ridden Championship.
b) The 1st and 2nd place from both the In hand coloured class 22 and the Ridden
Coloured class to compete for The Supreme Coloured Championships.

10.30am onwards. To include:

One round with your pony,
One on foot with your dog,
fastest time wins.
11 years and under, 12 years and over,
height of jumps 30cm.

SHOWJUMPING, 10.30am

The course will be designed by a British Showjumping Designer and will be
run single phase. One round, last 4 fences timed. Rosettes 1st to 6th places
Class 27
Mini Showjumping: Cross poles - mini jumps, lead rein permitted. No
spreads or doubles, rider and horse or pony combination not to have won
a show jump class.
Class 28
Beginner show jumping - rider and horse/pony combination not to have
won a show jump class. Lead rein permitted jumps not to exceed 40cm
no spreads or doubles.
Class 29
Novice Showjumping this class is also aimed at novice combinations
assistants may stand on mat in middle of ring to offer guidance, jumps not
to exceed 50cm.
Class 30
60cm May include small spreads and doubles.
Class 31
60cm pairs team jumping, 1st rider jumps round passes whip to second
rider, fastest combined time wins
Class 32
70cm
Class 33
80cm

To be judged under Pony Club rules. The Judges’ decision is final.
A riding hat must be worn correctly fastened when mounted. Pony
Club members must wear a hat that conforms to Rule 11 and
tagged with a Pony Club hat tag. Non members are strongly
advised to wear a hat that conforms to PC standard i.e.PAS015
BSEN 1384 OR Snell E2001.
Excessive use of whips by competitors may lead to
disqualification.
Riders not presenting themselves to the collecting ring when a
class is called may be disqualified.
Competitors in the leading rein classes may not enter any other
classes.
Age is taken as on the day of the competition.
The organisers reserve the right to alter the program, cancel a
class, restrict the number of entries or refuse entry at their
discretion.
The organisers reserve the right to check the height of or refuse
entry to any horse/pony considered in their opinion to be
unsuitable for competition.
Dogs must be kept on a lead.
Competitors and spectators attend the show at their own risk. The
organisers disclaim all liability for any accident or bodily injury to
persons or animals, damage, loss or theft of vehicles or property.
Any objections must be made in writing to the secretary
immediately and accompanied by a deposit of £10, which may be
forfeited if the objection or complaint is over-ruled.
No cantering or galloping outside the rings, no irresponsible
behaviour.
Do not leave ponies/horses unattended if tied to lorry or trailer.
No stallions without prior written consent of the organisers.
The organisers of the event have taken reasonable precautions to
ensure the health & safety of everyone present. For these
measures to be effective everyone must take reasonable
precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must
obey the instructions of stewards, organisers and officials.
This show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of
England Showground on the 17th – 21st August 2016. The two
highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will
qualify.
