ISACA Wellington: 2014 Strategy Background • ISACA’s vision: Trust in, and value from, information and information systems • ISACA’s mission: For professionals and organisations be the leading global provider of knowledge, certifications, community, advocacy and education on information systems assurance and security, enterprise governance of IT, and IT-related risk and compliance ISACA HQ’s objectives ISACA HQ defines the following objectives for each chapter: • Plan and maintain an effective and active local chapter operation with respect to administration • Plan and maintain an effective and active local chapter operation with respect to membership services • Provide an ongoing education program for individuals within your chapter territory • Maintain regular contact with ISACA International HQ and participate in ISACA International activities and conferences • Promote professional growth and development of individuals within your chapter territory through the acquisition and maintenance of their ISACA certifications • Communicate and promote the value of ISACA to the: – Business community – Regulatory community – Academic community Our 2014 strategy The following slides define our 2014 strategy against ISACA HQ objectives. New initiatives for ISACA Wellington are coloured red. ISACA HQ objective What we will do Plan and maintain an effective and active local chapter operation with respect to administration Maintain compliance with chapter bylaws and formally review on an annual basis Conduct monthly Chapter Board meetings Appropriately manage Chapter finances and prepare: • Monthly financial reports for review by the Board • Annual, audited financial statements for presentation to the membership and ISACA HQ and subsequent acceptance Complete and submit the annual report and scorecard to ISACA HQ Prepare a data security policy that defines requirements of the management of member data Our 2014 strategy ISACA HQ objective What we will do Plan and maintain an effective and active local chapter operation with respect to membership services Understand member-related aspects of ISACA HQ’s 2022 strategy and develop a supporting strategy and initiatives Promote our new website to all members as a key communication channel Engage all departing members and conduct an exit survey.
