ISACA Wellington: 2014 Strategy
Background
• ISACA’s vision: Trust in, and value from,
information and information systems
• ISACA’s mission: For professionals and
organisations be the leading global provider of
knowledge, certifications, community,
advocacy and education on information
systems assurance and security, enterprise
governance of IT, and IT-related risk and
compliance
ISACA HQ’s objectives
ISACA HQ defines the following objectives for each chapter:
• Plan and maintain an effective and active local chapter operation with
respect to administration
• Plan and maintain an effective and active local chapter operation with
respect to membership services
• Provide an ongoing education program for individuals within your chapter
territory
• Maintain regular contact with ISACA International HQ and participate in
ISACA International activities and conferences
• Promote professional growth and development of individuals within your
chapter territory through the acquisition and maintenance of their ISACA
certifications
• Communicate and promote the value of ISACA to the:
– Business community
– Regulatory community
– Academic community

Maintain compliance with chapter bylaws and formally review on an annual basis
Conduct monthly Chapter Board meetings
Appropriately manage Chapter finances and prepare:

Annual, audited financial statements for presentation to the membership and ISACA HQ
and subsequent acceptance
Complete and submit the annual report and scorecard to ISACA HQ
Prepare a data security policy that defines requirements of the management of member data
