Literacy Maths We are learning to: Read high frequency words Remember the sounds letters make Form lowercase letters correctly Use the sounds we know to write words Write simple sentences eg. The cat sat on the mat. Recognise rhyming words eg cat, sat, bat. In, grin, pin, thin. We are learning to: Use positional language eg on, under, through, below, beside Say when they are next to, behind, in front of something Use language related to money eg this banana cost me 50p Use language related to time eg it will be lunchtime soon. We do PE on Friday afternoon. Count things to 10, then 20 and beyond Understanding the World Reminders Please name all clothes Please send coats, hats, scarves daily Send PE kits to school on Monday Bring your Book Bag every day Gates open at 8.45 To have fun learning when out and about! We will focus on: Talking about what makes us special and different from other people Talk about how things change eg autumnal leaves on trees Describe similarities and differences eg a tiger and a zebra have stripes but a lion doesn’t Use the computer/tablet to finish a programme or game
