Hello from BGSU! I hope your year is starting out great! I wanted
to write to let you know what is happening in my life.
School has been going well and I am enjoying my college
experience. As you may know, I am involved in a college church at BGSU called h2o
Church. h2o is a university organization and church for college students on the BGSU
campus and in the city of Bowling Green, Ohio. They have Sunday services on
campus, Bible studies, and other great events.
This coming Spring Break, h2o is sending a team of people to Guatemala City,
Guatemala to serve with a ministry called Hope Renewed International. Hope Renewed
is dedicated to renewing hope by living out and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ;
by improving the quality of life; and by providing relief and opportunities to those who
may not otherwise have them. We will be working mainly in one of the largest slums
called La Limonda and the city dump where 11,000 people live and work.
I am writing to ask for your help in this endeavor. First, would you
please pray for the team, the Hope Renewed Ministry, and me as we
bring God’s love to people in need? Also, the total cost of the experience
is $1800. This includes the cost of the program, transportation, flight,
food, and housing for the week. Would you consider giving $100, $50,
$35, or whatever amount is comfortable to this important missions
opportunity? Spring Break starts on March 2nd and I would like to have
the finances raised by Monday February 11th.
