Vacation bottle’s cap can be used as a measuring device
1 capful = 1 tsp 3 capfuls = 1 tablespoon
FOR POTTED PLANTS
Mix one capful of Vacation per cup of water, or four capfuls per gallon to create a solution. For woodier plants,
use 4-6 ounces of Vacation per gallon of water. Apply solution as you would a normal watering. For best results
apply to damp soil or use with a surfactant. Remember: Once you water the plant or it rains, the plant requires its

Transplants: Use 2 to 10 tablespoons per gallon of water. Soak soil of transplant with Vacation solution just prior
to removal or installation.
Established plants: Use 2 to 10 tablespoons per gallon of water. Soak soil of plants with solution.

Mix one bottle (8-oz) of Vacation into one gallon of water. After placing tree onto tree stand, pour solution into
reservoir bowl. Do not re-apply or add additional water. Keeps trees fresh and holds needles for three or more
weeks.

What exactly is Vacation?
Vacation is an anti-drought treatment that will put your
plants in a temporary state of dormancy. Simply stated,
this will eliminate the need for water for up to two weeks
without harming the plant.
When does Vacation wear off?
The effects of Vacation wear off gradually after two weeks.
Watering the plant or lawn (including by rainfall) will also
eliminate the effects of Vacation immediately.
Is the Vacation plant treatment solution safe?
Yes. Vacation is safe, biodegradable and contains no
polymers or other toxic chemicals. Vacation is classified as
GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe).
Does Vacation work outdoors in the sun?
Yes. Shrubs, bedding plants, trees, flowers and even your
lawn can be applied with Vacation. Watering will not be
needed for up to two weeks. First rain or watering from
your irrigation will cause the effects of Vacation to wear off.
Do flowering plants remain in bloom during the
Vacation treatment period?
Yes. Vacation causes the plant to enter a self-induced state
of suspended animation. If the plant was blooming at the
time of treatment, the blooms should remain in the same
state until after the Vacation wears off.
How do I apply Vacation to Christmas Trees?
Vacation will eliminate the need for watering fresh-cut
Christmas trees for the brief holiday season or up to three
weeks. Add the entire bottle of Vacation to one-gallon of
water. Mix thoroughly. Pour entire solution into the reservoir
inside the Christmas tree stand. The tree will suck in the
solution through the fresh-cut base. The tree should keep
its needles and green color for up to three weeks. These
directions are for trees that have already been cut and it is
assumed that the tree will be discarded after a brief use.
