Organized the Resources for the Project (Raw Materials, Manpower etc) (ii) INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS : Head of Projects and Unit Head for the 2 x 48 MVA Ferrochrome plant Project in Oman Project in-charge for the Greenfield Aluminum smelter (Pot Line) project in Vedanta Aluminum Ltd with a cost base of USD 400 million Project in-charge for the Greenfield project in Jindal Stainless Ltd and looking after the Ferro Manganese and Silico Manganese projects ( 3 x 27.6 MVA) Involved in the Greenfield and brownfield projects for the Sponge Iron Plant (375 TPD and 500 TPD capacity). Leading the Detail Engineering work for the steel structural (95000 MT) as well as Aluminum Bus bar works (83000 MT) for the Aluminum Smelter and co-ordinated with Technical consultant and suppliers from China. Achieved the timely arrival of the steel and aluminum structures at site (as per project schedule) from China with specific co-ordination with the suppliers, logistics agent as well as the commercial teams. Involved in the techno-commercial discussions in selection of suitable suppliers and construction contractors for the projects. Achieved the project completion within the schedule through effective project planning and schedule monitoring of the project activities at site along with the construction contractors and the technical team. Ensured Zero harm to the workmen and equipment at the project site. (iii) PLANT OPERATION / MAINTENANCE / TPM / BUSINESS EXCELLENCE : Achieved 95 % up-time for the operating equipment in Ferro-alloys and Sponge Iron Plants. Leader in Mechanical maintenance of critical equipment in Aluminum smelter, Sub-merged Arc Furnace as well as Rotary Kiln. Improved the plant productivity with increase in equipment availability from 86% to 99%. Improved the equipment efficiency of critical equipment from 83% to 98% through optimization of maintenance and implementation of TPM methodology. As a certified TPM facilitator from TPM Club of India, I was leading the TPM implementation at Tata Sponge Iron Ltd (The Company won the TPM award in 2012). I was driving the TPM implementation through the 8 pillars of TPM and involved 100% participation of all the employees in either of the pillars. Implemented TOP (Total Operational Performance) initiative at Tata Sponge Iron Ltd and achieved savings potential of 2 million USD within a span of 6 months. As a facilitator for TOP, I had implemented the methodology in all the areas of plant (operation, maintenance, logistics, office administration) and involved the employees for the same.
