In the “ToDo” list folder, click the “Series test
report” link.
H If the “ToDo” list folder contains at least one
unprocessed series test report, the link is in
yellow text.
A series test report is placed in the “ToDo” list
of the employee who is assigned to the part
number according to the supplier quality
index (LQI).

H Before you have opened a series test report
for the first time, the system shows it in red
text in the list.
If you miss the report deadline, this will be
taken into account in the supplier evaluation.
If you miss the second report deadline too,
the series test report will be considered as
accepted by Daimler AG.
Important: The series test report can only be
processed in “Approved by Daimler” status.

If you want to view an older version of the
series test report, select it from the dropdown list.

H In the “Version” selection field you can see
how many series test reports are stored and
whether the process has already been
reported back to Daimler AG.
Each version can be based on different data
(quantity, sampling result).

If “Yes” is stated for shipping, defective parts
are sent to the supplier address stated in the
header. Notify your incoming goods
department that Daimler AG will be sending
the parts.

H If the causer is stated as “Daimler”
(customer), you can accept this item with no
disadvantages. The STR only serves as
notification that the parts will be returned to
you.
If the causer is stated as “SPL” (supplier), the
costs of the STR are charged to you. The
invoice has PS number which you can use to
view the associates process in SQMS.
H
If the combination “Scrap=no” and
“Shipping=yes” is listed, the part costs are
charged to you if no repurchase value was
agreed.
If the combination is “Scrap=no” and
“Shipping=no”, you are charged the costs of
processing the complaint (e.g. rework for
assembly, QM costs), but not the part costs.
For all other scrap / shipping combinations,
the part costs are charged to you.

H If the quantity of queried parts stated in the
STR is incorrect, you can reject the STR with
a note to that effect. You cannot change the
stated quantity. After the rejection, you will
receive a new version of the STR with the
correct quantity.
If a complaint was created for the series test
report, it is shown in the overview of items (in
this case the complaint number begins with
“PR-…”).

To view the complaint, copy the number to
the “Quick search” field in the navigation bar.
The diagnosis text is in the pop-up window
“Individual item per ticket”.

Go to the “Test report text” tab to see further
details of the selected version, especially
processing instructions from Daimler AG and
specific information on the required date for
reporting back.
H The “Logfile” tab can only be viewed by
Daimler AG employees.

To view, accept or reject the test result for an
item number, click the “Tool” icon.
H If you want to accept all test report results, go
to the “Test report items” tab and click
“Accept all” in the menu bar, then go to
section 4.3.4.

Open the drop-down menu and select “Yes”
or “No” to decide whether or not to accept
the (individual) test result for the part
number.

H The series test report contains information on

the defect class for each part number:
FC = 0  not ppm-relevant
FC = L  logistical fault, ppm-relevant
FC = 1  ppm-relevant
FC = 2  ppm-relevant (additional fault
in the assembly process, only
relevant for Sindelfingen).
H You can open the complaint to this STR by
clicking on the loup.

. A pop-up window opens up in
which you can search your network for files.
Quit the “Edit diagnosis item” dialogue by
clicking “Cancel”.
2 Click “Open” to upload the file.
H The maximum size of each attachment is
20 MB. You can also upload files in
compressed form (e.g. zipped).

H The supplier’s specialist is then entered on
the “Test report text” tab under your
statement. On the “Test report item” tab, you
can now see a small “Info” icon at the
corresponding position, indicating that the
item has been processed and the supplier
has made a statement.
If you have uploaded one or more
attachments, a triangle appears in the
corresponding position on the “Test report
item” tab.

Select the action “Print” to create a PDF.
H From the status „approved“ forward, two
H
versions of the print are differentiated:
The legal „approved report“ towards the
supplier, in which the test report including
the approvement of the department
supervisor is frozen – and the current
processing status, in which all fields will be
printed „as is“ in the current status.
Choose the „current processing status of the
series test report“ if you wish to create a
document that you can edit.

report”.
