who offer various services. The list is current at time of printing, but we suggest
you call before visiting any of these locations; fees and instructions will vary
by company. Still can’t find what you’re looking for? Find solutions by using our handy online

n Appliance Disposal & ODS Removal
These companies will remove ODS (ozone-depleting substances) from refrigeration units (air conditioners,
dehumidifiers, freezers, fridges). Some also offer pick-up and disposal of appliances. Rates vary – call first.

These companies will take all scrap metal (i.e. barbeques, bicycle frames, tire rims, swing sets, fences,
posts, car parts). There are no disposal fees. Appliances must be free of ozone-depleting substances

Blue Box Recyclables
• boxes: cereal, detergent, cracker and tissue boxes (empty
and flattened)
Appliances
• Refrigerant containing units include: fridges, freezers, air
conditioners, dehumidifiers and water coolers. Fees apply.
• paper: newspapers, catalogues, computer paper, flyers,
envelopes, magazines, phone books, white and light
coloured writing paper and egg cartons
Renovation, Construction & Roofing Materials EnviroDepot Disposal Fees range from $25 for a
minimum load to $70 for a single axle trailer load. Fees
current at time of printing.
• concrete, rubble, asphalt, drywall, wood, carpet, vinyl
flooring, ceramic tile, toilets, sinks, bathtubs, pane glass,
insulation, ceiling tiles, etc.
• cardboard: includes (clean) pizza boxes, appliance and
packing boxes
• containers: aluminum, glass, steel, plastic bottles,
jugs and tubs, foil (including pie plates), empty metal
paint cans (lid off), drink boxes, milk and juice cartons,
ice cream tubs, paper cups (separate lids), rigid plastic
blister packaging (remove the paper insert)
Yard Materials
• plant trimmings, grass clippings ($1.50/bag), leaves,
branches (<1 metre long, <10 cm diameter)
Household Special Waste (HSW) No Disposal Charge
• paint, turpentine, gasoline, motor oil, antifreeze, cleaners,
bleach, pesticides, fertilizers, poisons, acids, pool chemicals,
waste vegetable oil, fire extinguishers and aerosols.
Other Recyclable Items
• Tires, propane tanks, batteries, empty oil and antifreeze
containers, fluorescent light bulbs and tubes.
Electronics
• computers, printers, radios, stereos, cameras, VCRs,
televisions and monitors, etc.
Scrap Metal
• barbeques, bicycle frames, tire rims, swing sets,
fences, posts, car parts, etc.
Goodwill Donation Centre
• Goodwill accepts gently used items that are in saleable
condition, including clothing, shoes, books, housewares, etc.
Household Garbage
• Landfill banned materials will not be accepted. Banned
materials include recyclable materials, renovation materials,
household special waste. Fees apply.
Bulky items are not accepted at the Depots
i.e. mattresses, furniture, patio furniture, etc. Please place
these items at the curb for your regular collection.
