‘Exciting time is here again! It’s time for Summer Vacation and fun filled
activities.’
Children are power houses of potential which needs to be tapped and channelized in diverse ways.
They should be encouraged to develop intellectually and physically. Summer Vacation is the best and
fruitful time for learning and for nurturing creativity.
The Holiday Homework designed would not only enhance achievements of your child but would
also teach your child to work independently and would improve his/ her basic academic skills, such
as reading, writing, and spellings.
Here are a few suggestions that you may keep in mind Let the child do his/her homework. Parents can act as guides& facilitators.
 Invite the child to Brainstorm with you. Take your child to various places like Market, Temples,
Gurudwara or any historical place.
 Motivate your child to speak small sentences in English
 Eat lots of juicy fruits & green vegetables. Avoid junk food.
 The homework should be done as per the instructions given. It should be neatly labeled and the
name, class, section of the child should be mentioned clearly.
 The last date of submission of holiday homework is 7th July. No homework will be accepted
after the last date.
 The holiday homework will be graded and is a part of Formative Assessment of students.
 Converse with your child in English. Encourage your child to read books to enhance his/her
language and communicative skills.
 Also encourage your child to play various indoor and outdoor games.
 Limit the time for watching T.V.

1. Learning Work:
 Revise the work done in fair notebook.
 Solve page number 6 to 12 of grammar book in HHW note books.
2. Imagine yourself as any one of the followingA) a bird B) a rabbit C) a honey bee E) an ant
Describe your home in few sentences in HHW note book. You can include the following points
 Name of your shelter. E.g. bird- nest. 

 How and where do you make your shelter? 

 What is special in your home and why do you like it? 

 Who all live with you? 

3. Scrap Book: Write the following slogan in scrap book and decorate it.

MATHS
1. Learning/Writing Work:
 Revise the work done in fair notebook.
 Do written revision of Maths Book pg. no 22 (Q 1 to 5) pg. no 32 (Q 1 & 2), pg. no 42 (Q 1 & 2)
in HHW note books.
2. Scrap Book: Write any five roman numerals with the help of matchsticks in scrap book.
Science
1. Learning/Writing Work:
 Learn the work done in fair notebook.
2. Scrap Book: Collect seeds of different colours and sizes. E.g. Rice ( white), Pumpkin seeds
( yellow), Wheat (yellow) , Moong ( green), Masoor (pink), etc. Make the given cartoon
character and paste the seed using fevicol on scrap book.
