Whisking During the Performance of A Tactile Discrimination Task in Rats. Lisa has
completed her Ph.D. and a post doc in Neuroscience
Hovis, Shannon (November, 1997) Unit responses of vibrissal cortex to various orientations of
different texture gratings as a function of different rates of whisking in rats. Shannon became
head surgical coordinator for a research laboratory at the University of Pittsburg Medical
Center.
Warren, Amanda, M. (November, 1996) Behavioral and Brain Correlates of Novelty as a
Function of Figure-Ground Organization. Amanda became a psychophysiologist at the E.K.
Shriver Center and then entered the Ph.D. Program at Tufts University in experimental
psychology.

bodily sodium levels through consummatory behaviors in both pre -weanling and adult rats.
Both surgical and pharmacological interventions were used in these studies.
