IMPORTANT SAFETY PROCEDURES
RULES ARE IN PLACE TO KEEP YOU SAFE.
DON'T TAKE CHANCES!
FIRE & SAFETY
Ethanol is ammable and Grain or DDGS dust are
combustible. The following are strictly enforced:
• No smoking inside plant fenced area
• No open ames
• Turn off all electronic equipment inside fenced
area
• No mechanical or maintenance work on plant site.
Vehicles that will not start are towed at owner's
expense
• Keep cell phones off (incl hands-free) at all times
• If a re breaks out notify Husky ops & remain a
safe distance away
• In event of a spill notify Security/Husky Ops
IN EVENT OF PLANT EMERGENCY
• Pull over to the side of the road and turn off truck
• Unless in immediate danger remain in your
vehicle until instructed to leave.
ACTIONS OF DISCIPLINE
FOR DRIVERS WHO CHOOSE
NOT TO COMPLY WITH RULES
• Drivers will face penalties from re-orientation at
security to up to 3 months (or more) banned from
site
• Anyone found smoking inside plant fence will be
banned for at least 3 months
• Anyone using a cell phone / electronic device on
site will be banned for at least a month
Drivers who ask for help or clari cation
(before acting) will not be penalized
EVERY YEAR HUSKY ENERGY'S
MINNEDOSA ETHANOL PLANT:
• Purchases about 390,000 T of grain
• Produces over 150,000,000L of ethanol
• Produces 115,000 Tonnes of DDGS (Dried
distiller's grain with solubles) for livestock feed

OTHER RULES
• No ethanol loading during lightning storms
(Call control room for more information)
• Any spills (e.g. fuel) from trucks, or, grain spills
from hoppers are cleaned up at owner's expense
• No backing up on site without a Husky spotter
• Site is under 24h video surveillance

FACILITY MAP
ARRIVAL & CHECK-IN (ALL LOADS)
1. Report to Security for entry & staging instructions
(Bulk Chemical and Ethanol drivers will be referred
to control room)
2. Grain & DDGS Provide the following information:
• TAN # (Truck Authorization Number)
/ Truck Order #
• Scheduled time
• Person / company hauling for
• Product (Wheat / Corn / DDGS)
• Proof of orientation pamphlet (see other side)
3. Remove or unroll your tarp. On rainy/windy days
this can be done on site if approved by security
4. Turn CB to channel 19; wait for instructions
PROCEDURES FOR DELIVERING GRAIN
1. Drive to grain probe when called. Obey traffic lights
2. Drive into the receiving bay when clear
PLANT RULES (READ THIS!!!)
• No smoking or open ames of any kind
• Turn OFF cell phones (incl. hands-free devices)
• Driver supplied hard hat & eye protection
required
• No children under 12 years
• No climbing into trailers
• Speed Limit 15 km/hr
• Stay in your cab unless unloading in grain
receiving bay or loading ethanol
• Basic traffic rules apply and are strictly enforced
• Bullying, intimidation and discrimination of any
sort will not be tolerated
We want your visit to be as smooth and efficient
as possible. If you aren't sure what to do or run
into problems ask – Security guards and plant
operators are happy to help.
UNLOADING:
1. SHUT OFF engine.
2. Follow dumping lights(located on south wall, mid-bay)
Red: Wait to Unload
Yellow: Begin Unload
Green: truck has been tared empty
– clear to exit bay
3. No Trailer clean-out unless speci cally authorized
by operations
4. Exit the bay, park just outside and get paperwork
from Grain Receiving Building (E) (enter man door
on south side)
PROCEDURES FOR LOADING DDGS
1. Drive to DDGS Loading Site (G) when instructed
2. Wait until contacted by Husky Operator
3. Instruct the load-out operator as to how you
would like the load distributed in your trailer
4. Level and tarp the load from the walkway/platform
after loading is complete
PROCEDURES FOR LOADING ETHANOL
1. One truck at loading area at a time.
(One truck may stage inside gate during security
hours – stay in your truck)
2. All drivers perform 3 training loads with operations
3. Obey all posted PPE requirements;
don PPE prior to entry
4. If your are having problems or have questions
contact control room (instructions posted inside
loading shack)
EXITING PROCEDURES
(GRAIN/DDGS LOADS)
1. Drive to exit gate (F) once all paperwork is complete
2. Push “Grain” button on the keypad or channel 19 on
your CB radio to request exit
(ETHANOL or BULK CHEMICAL LOADS)
1. Drive to exit gate (F)
2. Push “Control Room” button on the keypad
to request exit
