• tithe to this church
• be aligned to and not compromise the beliefs and principles of The Salvation
Army and North Brisbane Church (NBC)

• have an initial 12 month commitment to the Saturday Night Service
• attend all Saturday Night services, GET SET TEAM meetings and events (as far as
it is possible)
• be available to assist in the growth and development of the Saturday Night Service
in ways that are both aligned to your gifts and abilities as well as serving the wider
purpose
Flexible
It is our expectation that as a member of the GET SET TEAM you will:
• be accepting of new methods and ideas whilst they are being explored within
our church
• display a willingness to adapt to people and circumstances
Teachable
It is our expectation that as a member of the GET SET TEAM you will:
• display a willingness to learn and be open to be trained, developed and equipped
for whatever task God chooses for you to fulfil in the church, so as to reach your
potential in ministry
How to discern if God wants you to join the GET SET TEAM:
• be aware that God speaks to us in many ways, ie, through prayer, a thought that won’t leave your head,
a vision, a dream, a conversation with someone, scripture, worship, creation etc.
• be committed to prayer and asking God if He wants you to join and be expectant of an answer
• ask God to show you a picture of yourself in ministry over the next year and then the next five years.
Is it different? Where are you? What are you doing? Who are you with?
• look up these passages: Luke 9:23, Proverbs 3:5-6, 1 Timothy 2:3-4, Psalm 32:8-9, Psalm 37:3-4,
Jeremiah 29:11, 1 Samuel 3:10, Jeremiah 33:3, Matthew 4:18-20
same church • same mission • different day • new opportunity
