SENIORS GET READY TO PLAY
Around Christmas holidays, all budding senior actors and actresses met
with senior sponsor, Mrs. Cauthen, to choose from three plays to perform this
year. They took a vote and decided on “With Regards to Cooper Clausen’s
Conscious.”
February 18, seniors performed the senior play two times in the morning,
once for high school students and again for the elementary. The seniors practiced
everyday during enrichment period and once a week after school.
All the seniors were excited to be performing the play. Michael Lester who
starred as “Wyatt,” a jock, said, “the play was super funny, and everybody
seemed to enjoy it.”
High school CA art students also participated in this year’s play. Under the
direction of Mr. Millett, art students worked for the couple of weeks leading
up to the play painting a very elaborate backdrop for the stage.

SENIOR CODY
JENNINGS
MARCHES OFF TO
COLLEGE
Cody Jennings started
playing the trumpet
back in the 5th grade
in the elementary
band. He was hooked. Since then, he has
played other instruments including drums
and guitar, but he has always perferred
the trumpet.
In January, Cody went to Mississippi
State for a three day clinic which ended
with a concert. During the clinic, he tried
out for the Famous Maroon Band and made
it!! So, next year when we are watching the
Dawgs play ball, we’ll have to watch for
Cody marching out on the field.
