Family Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Great are You, oh Lord, and most worthy of praise, because you have generously
poured out Your Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior (Psalm 96:4; Titus
3:6).
We lift up the families of the South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church. We
acknowledge You as the Creator of the family unit as an expression of Your love and
communion (Genesis 2:24;Psalm 127:3-5).
We ask that You surround each family with grace and favor, revealing Your power,
nature, and will. Sustain each family by Your Spirit in an atmosphere of glory,
renewed hope, and strength (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17). Bring them to a place of
balance, rest, and refreshing (Acts 3:19; Proverbs 11:1). In times of loneliness,
disclose Yourself and let them see who they are in You (Ephesians 2:6). Bear their
cares and protect their emotions with overflowing comfort (Matthew 11:28).
Manifest Your deep secrets so obscure things become clear and hidden things
come to light (1 Corinthians 2:6-11). Let truth take precedent in distinguishing,
recognizing, and perceiving spiritual matters. Make all grace abound to consciously
turn away from problems and to maintain focused devotion in abiding faith with
expectancy and certainty in all things (John 16:13).
Unite hearts in shared values to trust, yield, and submit to Your ways. Let each
home be a stable, fixed refuge of Your faithfulness and abundant love (Psalm 91).
Cause enduring love to abound between parents and children. Merge each heart
with Your matchless love (Romans 5:5; John 15:12).
Drive out the enemy (2 Samuel 7:1). Make Yourself known as Jehovah Jireh, the
Provider, Who will do exceedingly, abundantly above whatever is asked (Genesis
22:14; Ephesians 3:20). Reveal Your Lordship in every circumstance (Acts 10:36).
Let blessings be released over each family for generations to come (Deuteronomy
7:9).
