Writer’s Camp
Our 19th Annual ISC Writers’ Camp was held at
Lake Cullulleraine in week two of this term.
Thirty-three students from Years 7-10 attended the
camp which is designed to give participants skills
and inspiration for pursuing the craft of writing in
various creative forms… song, poetry, picture story
books and personal writing were some of the
workshops offered at this year’s camp.
Barry Carozzi, an award winning author and
songwriter, was again our guiding light for the camp
and he has been the guru since the very first
Writers’ Camp way back in 1995.
The students presented some of their work at a
concert on the last night of camp, and will be
performing for Irymple PS students this week.
Thanks to Miss Karen Francis who assisted me with
the running of the program and who is compiling a
booklet of student work from the camp.
To our writers, thank you for your terrific work and
engagement at camp again this year.

Year 10 Australian Food Trend’s Banquet
On Tuesday the 29th of April the Year 10 Food class
prepared, served and shared a banquet from a
variety of other nations. Students were required to
prepare a dish from the country that they had
researched. Mexican, Greek, Thai, Japanese and
Chinese were among the dishes served. The
course’s intention of expanding knowledge and
taste buds from around the world was definitely
fulfilled.
