Day 2:
Day 2:
After a hearty breakfast, we set off on our challenge! We will start our ultimate
adventure with an approx 2 mile canoe paddle in Derwentwater before changing
kit to complete the first of two cycle challenges. The first of which is the undulating
picturesque route towards Haystacks. Haystacks stands at just under 600 metres
and you will have a fairly steep climb up to the summit before descending to start
the second of your cycle challenge. The second ride will take participants through
Newlands Valley then back down towards Derwenter – back to where it all started!
This evening, we mark our accomplishment with the entire team at a celebratory
dinner.
We will leave at 8am and head uphill towards Burnmoor Tarn. Once near the tarn
the route will turn back on itself to reach the ridgeline that forms part of Scafell. The
summit of Scafell has fantastic views of the nearby Scafell Pike, England’s highest
peak. Once leaving the summit, the path heads steeply down to Foxes Tarn. The
route continues down a short way through the fully and a short ascent takes you
into Michledore. The summit of Scafell Pike is just 20 minutes from this point. Once at
the summit of Scafell Pike, all of the Lakeland fells can be seen through 360 degrees
– a fantastic view! This evening, we mark our accomplishment with the entire team
at a celebratory dinner.

Day 3:
Following breakfast at our hotel, we begin our journey back to our hospice in
