How to use your gift cards We have compiled the following list of tips to help you look after the gift cards to ensure the safe delivery to people in your community who need them most. Please remember that gift cards are as valuable as cash and therefore must be handled with as much care. When you first receive the cards from us, count them and make a record of the total amount on the tally sheet before putting them away. The cards need to be stored in a locked filing cabinet or a safe at all times. Please distribute the cards to clients before Christmas as far as possible. Please store any leftover cards for the beginning of next year’s campaign. If you know that you will definitely not be participating next year please send the cards back to the National Coordinator, UnitingCare Christmas Appeal, PO Box 5218, Braddon, ACT 2612. All gift cards were activated before you received them. In the unlikely event that a card is not activated when attempting to make a purchase, on the first instance, please call the number on the back of the card and Target’s customer service team should be able to rectify the problem. If they are unable to do so, please call the National Coordinator on (02) 6181 1018. Please note we can only answer queries or problems relating to the gift cards you receive directly from us. If you have any problems with Target gifts cards you have received from other sources, we will not be able to help. Target cards are valid for two years from the time we receive them. The expiry date is on the back of the card. Expired cards have no value and cannot be replaced. Please don’t store the cards away and forget about them.
