Presented By: Amanda Purefoy Executive Board Positions & Committees Requirements of a Student Chapter Membership Drives The Southern Region Student Conference RTP Professional Chapter & Student Chapters Poole COM Organizations SCREP Reporting Publicity 2012-2013 Event Planning Advisor Remarks Questions Oversee meetings of executive board and chapter Oversee all activities of the chapter Ensure all duties are followed and executed Serve as the liaison between the Chapter and the designated Professional Chapter Attend African-American Student Advisory Council (AASAC) meetings Develop contacts and relationships with companies and organizations in order to be able to invite them to present at meetings and host events Perform duties in absence of the President Keep track of all activities in Chapter Reporting Notebook (agendas, sign in sheets, brochures, etc.) Make copies and send off quarterly chapter report before deadline Keep updated record of all executive members and members contact information Provide a listing of all officers and advisors to the RTP Professional Chapter (including temporary and permanent address, email address, and phone numbers) Reconcile Chapter Membership with the National Membership List Oversee payment of chapter and national dues by chapter members – work with Treasurer Email general body with notice of all meetings/events at least 1-2 weeks in advance Send reminder email a week before and the day of meetings/events Record minutes at every executive board meeting and general body meeting and send out minutes to the general body and record them in the minute book Handle any other correspondence within the Chapter Send invitational letters at the beginning of each semester Make sure campus is aware of all meetings and events at least 2 weeks in advance Work with Secretary for meeting/event information Maintain bulletin board & put up fliers Send email to MSA listserv of upcoming events Send email to Terry Price in the Office of Undergraduate Programs for upcoming events Attend Poole Council monthly meetings and events Handle all communication with accounting firms, accounting organizations, companies, and other NC State organizations: setting up meetings with representatives, sending thank you cards, etc. Receive all money of the Chapter and promptly deposit it into the Chapter account Record and keep track of paid members and provide list to the President – work with Vice President Give/retain receipts of all monetary transactions Reconcile accounts on a regular basis Submit report of bank balance at every executive board meeting or when requested Supervise fundraising committee Authorize disbursements for requisitions Prepare quarterly/yearly financial statements and submit a copy to Vice President before deadlines Current Committees: Service Fundraising Social Past Committees: Academic Development Journalism Membership Webmaster Others???
