Expressive Arts and Design
Our role play will be a Garden
Centre where the children can play
together, listening to each others
ideas and making up stories. On
the creative table the children will
be starting to make their Easter
Cards .
Maths
We will be singing lots of number
songs counting on and counting
back. The children will begin to
recognise that when we count on
our numbers get bigger but when
we count back they get smaller.
The \older children will be doing
some estimating of how many
objects are in the containers
Speaking & Listening
This week we will be discussing
what to have as a treat for filling
up our pasta jar. The children have
come up with some ideas so we now
need to vote on which idea to
choose.
Communication & Language
Literacy
We will be finding out about the
season of Spring, signs that tell us
Spring is on its way. We will talk
about new growth, baby animals
and warmer weather.

Week 5
Phonics
In phonics some children will be
playing lots of listening games and
the older children will be learning
all about the letter ‘k’, what sound
it makes and objects that begin
with that sound.
UW - Technology
On the interactive board we will
be playing some spring number
games, matching numbers to
quantity and cracking open the
correct number of eggs.
Physical Development
We will continue to do our finger
and upper body exercises in dough
gym. In PE we will be playing ring
games and on our fine motor table
we will be using our fingers to tear
different types of material in order
to collage our picture.
