ISSUE No.23 SUMMER 2014 An ESG publication One team, one mission, we are ESG. Here to help you build your business A message from the President and CEO of ESG, Chris Marshall. “As I am sure you are aware, ECCO acquired Public Safety Equipment (PSE) Group recently and created a brand new organization, ECCO Safety Group (ESG). Our acquisition of PSE includes trusted quality brand names such as Britax, Premier Hazard, Code 3, PSV and PSE Amber. ESG now boasts an unparalleled product range including warning beacons, lightbars, directional LED lights, camera systems, reverse alarms, mirrors, wiper equipment, worklamps, and sirens and speakers. We now have a substantial footprint in the emergency services lighting sector, complementing ECCO’s better known market of amber warning lighting to the commercial vehicle aftermarket and reversing alarms to the OEM’s. This development will see an expanded group investing for the longer term in service and innovation to support our 3,000 plus customers around the world. Our 940 team members, based on four continents (America, Asia, Europe and Australia) will provide you with a broader range of products, continued innovation and continuing excellence in customer service. We recognise that global presence is important but it is of little consequence if we don’t look after our customers on a local level. Our dedicated team members will ensure that this is achieved. Over the coming months you will see ECCO Group and PSE integrated into one team with one mission – to make ESG the world leader in commercial and emergency vehicle warning and safety products. Inside this issue: Great new products including Directional LEDs, Vantage Lightbar and upgraded LED beacon However, rest assured, you will continue to see those well known and trusted brands in the market. For Europe that means the continued presence of ECCO and Britax brands for our amber warning and reversing safety markets along with Premier Hazard and Code 3 on the emergency side of the business.” NEWS AND PRODUCT UPDATE • NEWS AND PRODUCT UPDATE • NEWS AND PRODUCT UP The New 12 Series ‘Vanta LED Lightbar Top Performance, great value Vantage has been designed from the start to offer excellent value, performance, durability, flexibilityofconfigurationandeaseof installation. Multi-Frequency Reverse Alarms After the initial launch at Automechanika in 2012 we have been selling our MFAs (Multi Frequency Alarms) in all corners of the globe. While the traditional tonal alarms remain the benchmark and most recognisable sound for a vehicle reversing we understand that there are occasions where an alternative sound is preferred. Situations like condensed urban areas where tonal alarms can seem intrusive to residents, or construction and mining sites where a mix of sounds offers a variation that reduces complacency. Designed with the latest technology and backed by ECCO’s 2000 hour testing regime (the worldwide standard, SAE J994 demands only 300 hours) multifrequency alarms are available in both light and heavy duty versions and are the only alarms of this type that are independently certified by AMECA to the SAE J994 standard.
