Job Purpose
The Digital Content Assistant will support the Content Editor to enhance Young Scot’s digital
information and social media services through the development of digital/social content. The role
will involve working creatively to develop a wide range of content types for platforms such as
Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube. The post will also have a focus on video production,
supporting the creation of content by young people and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities








To work collaboratively with the Content Editor to visually communicate key information
content on Young Scot digital and social platforms.
To storyboard, plan, record and edit video content – this will also include animated/illustrated
content and vlogs.
To work on a one to one basis with young people to create and record video content
To support the production of visual content by young people & volunteers.
To ensure fresh content is disseminated on multiple Young Scot social channels on a daily
basis.
To assist with development & maintenance of the Young Scot content studio.
To manage stakeholder image library within Young Scot Content Management System.
To provide support and guidance to partners around content development.
