CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
It is a condition of entry that ALL droppings are cleared up, and
that no lorry/trailer is cleaned out in the car park area. It is
forbidden for vehicles or horses to encroach on any grass area.
No smoking is allowed inside or outside the indoor arena area.
Visiting members of the public are restricted to the hired riding area, car park
and toilet facilities.
Please respect these rules set by BCA who have kindly allowed us to hold this
event.

OPEN SHOW JUMPING
1.
This competition will be run in accordance with the Pony Club Show Jumping rules 2012 modified
where applicable.
2.
The decision of the Judges and Organisers is final. They reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel
any part of the competition, or refuse any entry without stating a reason.
3.
In the event of cancellation, the entry fees, less £5 per person will be refunded on receipt of an S.A.E.
4.
It is regretted that entry fees can only be refunded after the closing date on production of a medical
or veterinary certificate within three days of the competition date.

LEGAL LIABILITY. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers,
or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of the event, nor The Pony
Club, or any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident,
loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators, land, cars/vehicles, their contents and
accessories any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of
contract, or in any way whatsoever.

6. HEALTH AND SAFETY. The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the
health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all
reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey the rules and
instructions of the organisers and stewards/officials.
7. Correct riding attire must be worn at all times when mounted.
8. Body protectors are recommended for Show Jumping.
9. A protective helmet manufactured to one of the minimum standards listed below, must be worn.
PAS 015:1998; EN1384: 1996; BS EN 1384:1997 with the BSI Kitemark; Snell E2001 with the official
Snell label and number; AS/NZS 3838 1998 0r AS/NZS 38382003. All hats must be correctly fitted.
10. Any queries or complaints must be in writing and handed to the organiser within 30 minutes of the
incident together with a fee of £20, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld.
11. In the interests of safety, dogs MUST be kept on leads at all times and NO STALLIONS except by prior
permission.
12. Competitors must be correctly dressed and mounted for prize giving.
13. Spurs for Pony Club members will not be permitted unless you have a signed letter from your DC or
hold your B test and this is presented to the collecting ring steward.

BEGINNERS – 12 Years and under on 1st Jan 2012.
Jumps 50 cm in the first round, may be led. Combination of horse/rider never to have
won a jumping class or be registered with BS.Jump off over raised and timed course.
Table A7. Times will be posted for this class on the Thursday before at 7pm on the
website. The DJ& News cup will be awarded to the highest placed member.

CLASS 2
MINIMUS
Jumps approx 70 cm in the first round. Combination of horse/rider not to have been
won a jumping class at this height or be registered with BS. Two phase competition.
Competitors in this class may not compete in classes 4, 5 or 6.

CLASS 3
NOVICE
Jumps approx 80 cm in the first round. This class will be split into two sections A)
Riders under 14 yrs B) Riders 14yrs and over. Age at 1st Jan 2012.Two Phase
Competition.
