FERGUSON FAMILY (DOWNTOWN)
Thank you to those members who took the time to respond to our recent survey. We value your
feedback and believe that it will help us continue to make improvements to those details in our Y that
are important to you. Our staff are reviewing your feedback and where possible, are making immediate
changes. We are also developing an overall plan for our organization to evaluate some of the other
concerns or requests. The information listed below highlights some of the common themes we have
heard. We sincerely appreciate your time and always welcome your feedback.

“Clean up men’s locker room.”
Leadership worked with our new cleaning contractor and the showers have
been deep cleaned with an expectation that they stay this way.
On Sunday, May 7th, Y staff came in and deep cleaned locker rooms; dusted
and cleaned inside and outside of lockers, dusted walls, along with other
detail cleaning. Our staff will continue to do this quarterly in addition to our
new cleaning contractors work.

“More classes in early a.m.,
lunch,and evening hours”
In response, we have added two classes for our Spring 2 session. Summer
classes in the morning will remain based on your feedback, and we are
currently working on the fall schedule to include these suggestions to grow
our class schedule for the Ferguson Family Y.
“Need staff on both levels of
wellness area. Staff unaware of my
fitness goals.”
We are currently hiring more engagement staff for our busy daytime hours
which will allow us to have staff available in both levels of our wellness area
at peak times. In addition, signage has been added to the wellness desk
areas about scheduling
wellness appointments and we are adding featured
Action/Response
equipment demos in our wellness areas.
“Weight room can get a little
cramped at times.”
A quick survey will be conducted on the strength floor of the wellness
center to get feedback on keeping vs. removing the outdated Cybex
equipment in weight area, which would allow for more space.
NEXT ITEMS TO BE ADDRESSED
Suggestion
Action/Response
“The pricing is high for some
people.”
We hear from both sides on this every survey. Many share the great value the
Y offers at this price point, and other feel it is too high. We want to assure
you we continually assess the pricing and membership model to best meet
needs and offer the best quality programs and facilities and will continue to
look at providing the best value and price point we can.
“Open Downtown on Sundays.”
“We will be looking at our hours of operation for all of the centers to assess
if we are meeting the needs of the community with four locations. We do
track usage by scanned reports and program participation reviewing them
monthly to help guide decisions on planning. Currently, no plans in 2017 to
open this location on Sunday, yet as the new Ferguson Family Y continues to
grow, we definitely would look to expand hours where appropriate.
