New Palm Springs Branch
To better serve our members, our Palm Springs branch will be relocated to

Message from our CEO
Dear “Sun family” members,
Thank you for your membership at Sun Community. We are in the business to serve you,
your family and community.
As we continue our Sun journey together, it is with an emphasis that “we are in the people
business” and strive to create an “extraordinary” member experience. I do understand that
we may not be offering that experience in all cases, but be assured that this is our guiding
principle for our credit union.
A few significant actions taken here at Sun;
• On May 6th, the Board and I met to define a “Vision” for Sun and concluded on the
following, as it is “why we are in business”:
“Changing lives, because we care!”
• We are emphasizing continuous improvement to create an extraordinary experience
for you and by being “easy to do business with”. Offering loans to you, our membership
and community is one of the core services we provide. To that end our Sun Team is
focusing on:
o Simplifying and streamlining our lending process to create an easier experience
for you.
o Adjusting our loan guidelines to serve a broader base of the communities we
serve. Life events happen, and we want to be a part of helping you into a better
future and looking for solutions to “Get to Yes” for you.
o We are in the process of addressing our credit card functionality and those of you
who have credit cards with us will be receiving information on our next steps in
the near future… we appreciate your patience and understanding.
• New location to serve you in Palm Springs… we are excited to soon be opening our
new Palm Springs Branch at 1717 E Vista Chino , Suite J-10, with our expected opening
date in third quarter 2017.
• Community involvement… an area of strategic importance for “Sun” is to learn how we
can assist more of our community in completing their education and provide nutrition
availability for the young and older community. With that said, we have committed to
investing over the next 18 months to the Imperial Valley Food Bank as they raise funds
to build a new and larger food storage facility to serve more of our community.
I am excited about our future together to become the financial institution of choice,
employer of choice, and make a difference that only our Sun Team can offer.
