please have students write their spelling words 3
times.
*Math- Chapter 1 Extra Practice. Follow the
directions on the page.
*Spelling- ABC Order. Using the paper provided,
please put our Spelling words in alphabetical order.
*Math- Review addition facts to 10 for test
tomorrow by doing B.1 and B.2 C.1 and C.2 on
IXL.
*Language Arts- Spelling Sentences. Using the
paper provided, please have your students create 5
sentences using their Spelling words.
*Raz-Kids- One test and one quiz online please.

We are getting into our daily routine here in First Grade and I am happy to say that we
are doing a great job. In Religion, we are continuing to talk about the creation story and
about God who loves us very much. In Language Arts, this week’s story is called “The
Storm” and is an informational text for the students to practice their CVC words. We
have such wonderful readers in First Grade so lets keep up the good work! We are also
continuing our lessons on Nouns, and writing about ourselves. We are even learning how
to write a friendly letter! In Math, we are finishing up our chapter on Addition and have
our first test on Thursday. Lastly, we are starting our first Science investigation about
weather this week.
I have created a class page for us to use this year. There is a link on the All Souls
Website. Here is how you get there:
1. Go to ssfallsoulsschool.org
2. Go to the Academics Tab
3. Click on Grade Levels. Choose First Grade.
4. On the Right Side you will see “Staff”, click that and then click my name “Katie
Franco”
5. Now you are on my class page, you can click subscribe to get notifications about
any announcements or changes.
I will be using this page for communication in addition to the homework note as well as
posting announcements and sharing class pictures here. Please let me know if you have
any trouble accessing our site.
I have taped on the inside of the children’s homework folder the login information for
both Raz-Kids and IXL. I am sending out a letter for both IXL and Raz-kids, I would
suggest keeping these letters in a safe place for use later. We will be using both of these
website in class and at home. Any questions can be sent to me.
