• Every incoming first-year student has a pre-loaded schedule in the
Planner tab of their degree audit
• First semester schedules were provided by each department
• Schedules are generic, so may require tailoring according to a student’s
placement

post-Vandal Friday advising season

• Compose a note during the course of an advising appointment
• Allow the student to review the contents of the note
• Submit before the student leaves your office

Changes to General Education
• Two different disciplines in each of the following categories:
• Natural and Applied Science
• Social Science
• Humanities
• 18 total credits required from humanities and social sciences (J-3-d),
American Diversity and International Courses (J-3-e), and Integrated
Studies (J-3-f)
• 36 total credits required to satisfy General Education
Change to the Waitlist Process
• Students no longer registered automatically for waitlisted courses
• Student will need to register for the course within 24 hours of a seat
becoming available
• University now able to check for time conflicts
• Waitlists now available for late 8-week courses
• Students need to check VandalMail

• Introductory Biology sequence has changed:
