AKA...JUST THE FACTS ‘MAM!
Best Booth Contest. It’s a Birthday Celebration! Think back to your childhood years, and if you never got the
birthday you wanted, now is your chance! Have FUN! Attendees will vote on who has the best “themed” booth in 3
categories. 1) Medical Services; 2) Non Medical Services; and 3) Home Health/ Hospice/ Home Care/ Etc. Each Category
will be recognized and the booth voted “Best of Trade Show” will win a $500 credit to be used at our 2018
Convention AND a $250 credit to be used at our 2017 Fall Assisted Living/LTC Symposium.
Door Prizes & Announcements. If you are offering a door prize, drawings will be announced during lunch on
Wednesday. Attendees must claim their prizes from exhibitors. Exhibitors are responsible for delivering unclaimed
prizes to winners. Door prizes are for convention attendees only. Exhibitors, exhibitor’s guests, OKALA employees are not
eligible to participate in door prize drawings. However, all fundraisers are open to any person who purchases a ticket.
OKALA Fundraiser. While you are shopping for your door prize, please pick up a gift basket for OKALA’s fundraiser.
We are having a gift basket raffle to raise money for our Caregiver of the Year Winners & our RCAL Administrator
University. The Caregiver’s will receive a $100 gas card! We feel this is a great way to say “Thank You” for their hard
work & dedication. Plus we started a scholarship fund due to the decrease of RCAL administrators. It is very
expensive to become an administrator and there are some exceptional candidates who would make great
administrators. Our scholarship fund can help them get started!
Program Listing. Exhibitors will be listed in our program book by category with name, telephone and e-mail
address only. If you sponsor an event and/or item then you will be acknowledged in the program book with your
logo and signage during our convention. Please send your logo in jpg format to [email protected] Deadline to
submit for inclusion: March 17, 2017
Color Ads. If you have purchased a Color Ad, they must be sent electronically in jpg format to [email protected] by
Friday March 17, 2017. Full page ads are: 4.5” wide x 7.5” high; 1/2 page ads are: 4.5” wide by 3.9” high
OKALA Board of Director’s Welcome Reception. Please join the OKALA Board of Director’s for a Welcome Reception
after you have set up your booth! Relax and enjoy networking opportunities while we serve up some light hors
d’oeuvres and cocktails. We will be hosting the reception in the Hospitality suite Monday night from
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm.
Registration/Booth Assignment. Booth space is limited, so early registration is recommended! Details of
packages are on page 2. Exhibitors may attend all convention functions. To confirm assigned booth space, full
payment must be received prior to move in date. Submission of the registration form does not guarantee that
your company will receive chosen location/sponsorship/etc. OKALA Platinum Partners will receive premium
placement in the trade show. Other exhibitors will be placed based on Gold Partner, Sponsorship, membership
status and first-come, first-served basis. OKALA makes placements and reserves the right to locate display areas
for the benefit of the exhibitor or betterment of the trade show. Exhibitors may make a notation when
registering whom they prefer their booth NOT be located near at the trade show. Every effort is made to NOT
place competitors close to one another. Booth space is subject to availability.
Name Badges. Name badges are required for admission to trade show. Badge swapping is prohibited. There is no
charge for on-site substitution name badges. However, additional exhibitors will be charged. Anyone without a
proper badge will be asked to leave the event. Vendor sponsors who elect not to exhibit will be allowed to attend all
events. NON-EXHIBITING VENDORS/SUPPLIES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ATTEND.
Cancellations. If an exhibitor finds it impossible to attend the Convention and notification is received at the OKALA
office to that effect by 5:00 pm March 17, 2017, the exhibitor will be charged an administrative fee of $200 per
booth and the balance of the booth price will be refunded. Cancellation after 5:00 pm, March 17, 2017 will result in
forfeiture of all pre-paid amounts.
