2017-2018 Season Audition Information for Bassoon
1. Please review and prepare the following materials for your audition:






LSYO Audition Entry Form
$20 New Member/$10 Returning Member nonrefundable Audition Fee (turn in with Audition Entry Form;
payable by check, cash, and credit)
Scales: D Major (2 Octaves) and G Major (2 Octaves)
One solo piece of your choice (2-3 minutes in length; does not need to be memorized)
Excerpts provided below. Please play within the brackets on each piece. Music does not need to be
memorized.
Sight reading will be provided at audition.
2. Submit audition form and fees through our Active network online portal
3. Please call the LCSO Office at (972) 252-4800 to schedule and secure your audition time*.
August and September auditions take place at:
Irving Arts Center
3333 N MacArthur Blvd.
Irving, TX 75062
*Auditions are provided by appointment only. No walk up auditions will be accepted. After scheduling with the office,
it's all about practicing and showing up to your audition fifteen to thirty minutes prior to your designated time. Best of
