Costa Mesa Nanofiltration Membrane Water Plant, CA, USA
8.6 MGD NF system designed, supplied and commissioned
by Biwater as part of a replacement and expansion project to
assist with color removal and the reduction of THM pre-cursors.
The source water originates in an aquifer 1,200 feet deep that
contains a submerged ancient redwood forest.

The largest inland desalination
plant in the USA, producing
a total water supply of 27.5
MGD by raw water blending
with 15 MGD of RO permeate,

Build, Own, Operate, Transfer
(BOOT) contract for a 2.7
MGD SWRO plant and
two package wastewater
treatment plants. This project
benefited from a 43m
USD project financing deal
with Barclays and a 100%
guarantee from ECGD, the UK
Export Credit Agency.
Advanced Water Purification Demonstration Project,
Padre Dam, Santee, CA, USA
Indirect potable reuse solution incorporating chlorine
disinfection, coagulation, UF, RO and advanced oxidation. The
system will demonstrate the capability and reliability of the
technology scheme to convert secondary wastewater into safe
drinking water with a special focus on emerging contaminants.
Operations and performance data will be key in designing
a planned 10 MGD facility. Once piloting is complete, the
demonstration plant will become a learning and training facility.
Sembcorp Changi NEWater Plant,
Singapore
Design, supply and commissioning
of 10 RO trains with a total
combined permeate production
capacity of 60 MGD serving a
population of two million.
The final product is Singapore’s own
brand of drinking water ‘NEWater’,
available for purchase in local
supermarkets.
Hong Kong International Airport Wastewater
Treatment Plant, Hong Kong
Design, supply and upgrade of three MBR
treatment plants to serve one of the world’s
busiest airports, providing 1.6 MGD of high
quality product water for airport services to
utilize in their day-to-day operations.
City of Scottsdale Advanced Water
Treatment Plant, AZ, USA
Design, supply and commissioning of a
14 MGD RO system to treat reclaimed
wastewater and water from the Central
Arizona Project. Finished water is used
for irrigation and allowable industrial
applications.
Yen So Park Sewage
Treatment Plant, Hanoi,
Vietnam
This new 52 MGD sewage
treatment works serves
Vietnam’s capital city, treating
over 50% of Hanoi’s domestic
wastewater.
The project included the design,
construction, operation and
maintenance of a SBR facility
and biological nutrient removal
wastewater treatment plant,
complete with a sizable UF
service water stream.
