STEYNING CRICKET CLUB - CODE OF CONDUCT FOR YOUNG PLAYERS Steyning Cricket Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members. Young Players Have Agreed To: Arrive at training and matches in good time to prepare thoroughly. Wear appropriate kit for the activity. Inform their coach/manager if they are going to be late. Always warm up and cool down properly. Play for fun and enjoyment – not just to please your parent/coach/manager. Learn and play by the rules and respect officials and their decisions. Not argue with the match officials/coach/manager – energy will be used for better play. Recognise and applaud good play. Be a good sport – win modestly, lose with dignity. Respect others – treat them as you wish to be treated. This includes others rights, dignity and worth regardless of age, gender, ability, cultural background or religion. Co-operate with the coach/manager, team mates and opponents. Think about improving skills after training and matches. Inform the coach/manager of an injury as soon as possible. Inform the coach/manager if you have to leave early. Thank officials and opponents after the match. Pay training and match fees promptly.
