No A1-10 of 17 January 2011 seed for the performing tests for Value for Cultivation and Use
should be:
1. Delivered to:
Kaunas Plant Varieties Testing Division of the State Plant Service under the Ministry of
Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania
Saulėtekio st. 4,
Muniškės,
LT-54337,
Kaunas district,
Lithuania.

2. Satisfy the requirements for breeders’ or basic seed.
3. Bags should be labeled. Following information should be in the label:
3.1. the breeder;
3.2. plant species;
3.3. variety breeder’s reference and proposed denomination (if it is);
3.4. seed germination;
3.5. weight of 1000 seeds;
3.6. treatment (for maize and sugar beet seed).
4. An applications for the Variety Listing into the National List of Plant Varieties should be
submitted to the State Plant Service under the Ministry of Agriculture: for spring crops varieties
until 20 of March (if DUS testing is needed in the coming year – until 1 of December), for winter
rape varieties – until 1 of August and for winter cereals varieties – until 25 of August.
