The Rules of Mobile Phone use
• Although we are moving to an E-Planner system it is also useful to
note the rules the school has on using mobile phones in schools.
The school policy is as follows:
“Mobile phones are allowed in school…..Mobile phones may be used in lessons as an integral part of
the learning, however this is at the discretion of the teachers and in all other circumstances mobile
phones should be switched off so as not to cause disruption to lessons.”
• This means, When homework is given out you are allowed your
phone out, but NOT all the time(unless guided by your teacher)
• Failure to abide by the rules can mean confiscation
YOU CANNOT USE IT AS AN EXCUSE TO CHECK FACEBOOK!

Go to MyStudyLife.com > Click Sign In
When you get to the sign in screen > click sign up and click student
ON the sign up screen fill in your detail including your school email account
Be aware of the password

Click through the first 2 introduction slides until you get to this:
Make sure you set up the start
of the school day and lesson
duration
Your choice whether to use 12
or 24 hour clock

Once you get to the end, set
up a new academic year

The School Code – In Beta
• Click on the settings tab at the
bottom of the screen
• Click the School Button
• Enter the school code of:
JrynWe
This will allow you to pick up the
holidays from the teachers
When adding classes make sure it is
under the heading of the little
building
Adding your classes….
Click Join Classes
Pick by
Teacher/subject
depending on
preference(I’m
going to do
teacher)
Pick the teachers that are listed (you can pick one at a time or more than one)

Pick the classes that you want in your timetable
Pressing next will confirm the addition of the
class to your timetable
You can then repeat the process for every
teacher that has put their classes in.
If your teacher/class is not in the list, then
you have to do it manually (see next slide)
Add your Classes
Put in a name and a subject
Pick a colour
Add your class details
(top tip: if you have 2 teachers, set 2 classes)
Program in your times most times it’s
weekly,(you may have one lesson
that is only on week 1 or 2)
Add your start time(and it adds an
hour)
Press save and add the other time(s)
of that lesson
Task
Repeat for every lesson on your timetable
The screen
Shows your dashboard, a summary of what you have today
Shows a calendar of the current week you are on and the lessons you have
Shows and allows you to add tasks(homework) for any subjects you have
Shows and allows you to add Exams(Tests) for any subjects you have
Allows you to mess with your schedule/planner (you rarely need this)

Mobile Screen – Download the App
• Use your phone store to download “mystudylife”
• IF you are struggling to find it, go to “mystudylife.com”, scroll down
and find the links.
The App
Once you log on via the App the data should sync with the stuff you
typed on the website (make sure you are using WiFi Access for the first
time)
• The app has specific settings on it to allow you to set reminders.
• You may want to set it so that you get a reminder at a specific time of
the day for when homework is due the next day.
• You can turn notifications on or off in the settings screen
Adding Exams - setup
Select your class from the drop down (use the tick box to mark if it’s a
Resit)
Set the unit/module for the test so you can remember what to revise
The date/time/duration will allow your phone to remind you of the
exam coming up
You can state a room for the exam and the seat number if it is not
your normal classroom (or even if it is!)
About Tasks – Setting Homework
Select your class from the drop down
Select the type > Assignment, Reminder or
Revision
(if you set a revision task an option will
come up to associate it with an exam)
Set the due date (by setting the due date,
the app will remind you of the homework
the day before at a specific time.

Clicking on a task after you have saved gives you a
screen like this (on both phone and website)

You can set how far you are currently through a task by using the
slider
