Super 10 SPINNING MARATHON – Saturday 19th September 2015
The annual Spinning marathon in aid of the Beeld Children’s Fund promise to be a
very exciting event this year! The event will be presented for the 10th annual
time. Be part of the biggest Spinning event in South Africa!!
On 19th September all the action will be at the bay side of Centurion Mall. This is one of the
biggest fundraising events for the Beeld Children’s Fund. It will be a great team building
opportunity with which you will also support children in need.
Our main sponsor is Dis-Chem, other sponsors are KWE, Olive Pride and Centurion
Mall. Mzanzi Tents provides a lovely strecht tent, Virgin Active the spinning cycles and
JH Retief Transport have the huge task to transport the cycles to and from the event.
Multi-Media will provide great sound and qualified instructors will lead each session.
Participants can however cycle at their own pace if they prefer.
Each participant will receive PVM bottles and energy products, water and Tropika from
Clover and t-shirs sponsored by Dis-Chem, as well as a lipbalm and suncreen from Grant
Thornton Pretoria.
The Spinning marathon – general information:
♦ the marathon is a 10 hour event, from 07:00 – 17:00.
♦ there will be 10 sessions of 50 minutes each, with a 10 minute break after each session.
♦ Sessions will start on the hour.
♦ Individuals and teams are invited to take part.
♦ A ream consist of 2 to 10 persons, thus members may do more than one session.
♦ Each team get one spinning cycle for the day, team members participate on a relay basis.
The cycle must be manned for the full duration of the marathon.
♦ There is also a limited option for team members to participate all together in one session.
This option is limited, and alternatives can be offered if your choice for a session is not
available.
Participate in one of the following Categories:
Category 1. Team entry: Spinning
Teams consist of 2 to 10 persons.
Team fee: R1650 per team. Please complete the entry form for teams.
If you cannot participate, please sponsor a team from a children’s home to take part.
You are encouraged to challenge other teams and companies to take part in this
event. We will make something of it in Beeld and this way more people will get involved to
make it a huge event! Please let me know which companies you are challenging!!
Category 2: Individuals
Individual entries. You can enter for single sessions @ R165 per person per session.
Please complete the entry form for individuals and book your session in advance.
Category 3: Individuals 10 hour challenge
In this category individuals participate for the full 10 hours, and get sponsored per hour (or
per kilometer if you prefer this). Your sponsor will receive an invoice from the Beeld
Children’s Fund for the amount due, which is payable within 7 days after the marathon.
Minimum sponsorship: R1650.00
Sponsorships opportunities:
1. We need any promotional items: pens, foam caps, anything;
2. Sponsor the team fee for a team from the Bramley or Abraham Kriel Children’s
Homes @ R1650 per team; You will get a tax deductable receipt for your
contribution.
3. Sponsor individuals for the 10 hour challenge.
All sponsors will receive a tax deductible certificate from Beeld Children’s Fund, as
well as a BBBEE letter/ certificate and branding opportunities.
The Beeld Children’s Fund is a charity organization that exists since 1977, and is affiliated
with the newspaper Beeld. Our mission is to raise funds to help underprivileged, disabled
and abused children, as well as children affected by HIV/Aids in the spheres of emergency
relief, education and life enrichment.
