Waikato Scout and Guide Gang Show
Founded in 2003 with the first show in 2005 the show has now become one of the leading eight and
regular Gang Shows on stage around New Zealand.
From small beginning we now have over 50 youth aged from 8 ½ to 26 with some adult leaders on
stage. Leaders, Scouting Associates from both Scouts and Guides are members of the Executive or
hold important roles in the Production team.
Gang Shows provide an opportunity to learn new, or improve skills you already have such as acting,
singing, or dancing. We can also cater for those who wish to learn some of the technical aspects of
theatre such as Light and Sound, Stage Manager and we are always looking for costume makers who
can work with our experienced team in this department.
Even if you just want to have fun, meet new friends why not give Gang Show a try. It is a big
commitment for both you and your parents with weekly rehearsals and one residential camp and
two full weekend rehearsals. But what we can say is that you will have the time of your life.
Please Note: You must be and remain a current member of either ScoutsNZ or Girl GuidingNZ to be a
cast member.
