CHISNALLWOOD MUSIC THEORY CLUB Hi parents and students, Theory club is a free tuition club each Friday from after school until 4.20pm. The only cost is if you want to buy a workbook, (which is recommended) about $14­16. Alternatively use computer software/single page worksheets. What we do: This is a great environment to learn music theory! Students’ theory work is marked and discussed; there are competitions, practice exams and computer games. We have upgraded our computer music software and have a wide range of computer music activities. You will get codes from me for ClassDojo (attendance and club achievement) and other interesting online theory games. You can also use our computer theory software, Musitian. For other online systems, eg. Quaver Music or NoteFlight you can create your own username if you want to use them. What to bring: • $14­16 for a workbook ­ depending on Grade level • Pencil and eraser • Named thermal mug with lid (for milo) • At least one packet of biscuits or fruit once per term and two packets of milo a year ABRSM Exams: If you would like to sit an exam, here are the costs and dates. We will only enter them if you have covered enough work though! Let us know if you are interested and fill in the exam form online. Last dates of entry:
