GV Guardian_v1.5_Configuration

GV Guardian 1.5
Configuration
NOTE: Prior to GV Guardian v1.5, hosts were added through the Spreadsheet
Uploader with a static set of services tied to specific device types. Now, the
Spreadsheet Uploader works in conjunction with the Profile Template to associate
hosts and services with customizable profiles.
The GV Guardian Profile Template (not to be confused with the Configuration
spreadsheet) makes it easy to associate services with specific types of systems and
devices. The profile template is distinguishable by its manual date stamp and .export
file extension, and is accessible for download on the GVProDev here:
Host: ftp.grassvalley.com
Protocol: FTP
Username: prodev
Password: GXF2zero15
File Location: /GVGuardian/Profile_Templates
*Always use the latest version (per manual date stamp) when uploading to a new or
existing system.
 Log into the GV GUARDIAN system with Administrator Privileges
 On the top navigation menu, click > Configure
Then path to > Profile Manager | Import

Remote commissioners upgrading a GV Guardian system to v1.5 from a
previous version transfer the below information between the old (4 tab) and
new (2 tab) spreadsheets WITHOUT ALTERING THE SPREADSHEET FORMAT:
Upon the USERS page:
1) On the line directly below the example, copy applicable
LOGIN, TYPE, USER NAME, EMAIL and GROUP column data
from old spreadsheet into the same corresponding columns
upon the new spreadsheet. Please leave the topmost

properly.
Upon the IP CONFIG page:
2) HOSTNAME info
3) Cntrol IP Address

new component. Failure to do so will not properly associate the host being configured
with the corresponding device in the rack necessitating re-work.
Configure all hosts in as few racks as possible, using rack spacers to separate
components for clarity.
In a Data Center rack, component states are indicated by color overlays as follows:



Ok:
